There's so much to do in Barrio Dent, but venture farther afield and you'll find even more magic. Arrange a set of wheels and you can meander around the greater area at your own pace. Add these awesome destinations to your itinerary:

• You'll find Liberia Parque Central and loads more amazing sights in Liberia. From Barrio Dent, it's around 110 miles away.
• Your next pit stop? Puntarenas, which is around 55 miles away. Puntarenas Pier is one local hot spot you shouldn't miss.
• Las Baulas National Marine Park is about 120 miles from Barrio Dent and is one of the region's most beautiful nature spots. Go for a wander around and enjoy the fresh air here.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Costa Rica, then you may need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country to be allowed to rent a car. Please also consider that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll need to show your driver's license from your home country your passport and other forms of identification as well.
