Car Rental Copa Blanca

After you've checked out all of the well-known sights in Copa Blanca, there's heaps more to discover in the surrounding region. Pick up the keys to a rental car, stow your bags in the trunk and hit the road. We've pulled together some drives we're confident you'll enjoy:

• Head to Liberia for a fantastic sightseeing experience. Roughly 90 miles from Copa Blanca, it's home to loads of cool sights like Liberia Parque Central.
• Why not see all that's on offer in Puntarenas too? Major tourist attractions in this colorful city include Puntarenas Pier. Puntarenas is about 40 miles from Copa Blanca.
• Make your way to Pavones Beach to discover some local nature. Pack a picnic to enjoy or just relax in the fresh air. From Copa Blanca, it's approximately 140 miles away.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Costa Rica, then you'll likely need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be able to rent a car. You should also be aware that if an IDP is required, it has no validity on its own. You'll be asked to show your current license your passport and other forms of documentation as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card you used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your driver's license and passport. A few other things to note to rent a car internationally are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be 25 or older in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of cars you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Be sure to read the rules and regulations before getting behind the wheel. Usually, you can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or go off-roading with your rental car.
