Car Rental Kenting

Kenting has plenty to keep you on the move, but don't restrict yourself to just one place. Grab a set of wheels and head off to discover what else awaits in the wider region. Here are some places to consider:

• You'll find Lotus Pond and many more interesting sights in Kaohsiung. From Kenting, it's approximately 55 miles away.
• Why not check out all that's on offer in Tainan too? Notable tourist attractions here include Chihkan Tower. Tainan is approximately 90 miles from Kenting.
• Taroko National Park is situated 160 miles from Kenting and is one of the region's most scenic nature spots. Stretch your legs and enjoy the fresh air here.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Taiwan, then you'll likely need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country to be allowed to rent a car. You should also note that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll have to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card you used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your license and passport. Some additional requirements to rent a car internationally are:

• Age restrictions: You'll need to be at least 25 in most places to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the fine print before you drive off the lot. Typically, you can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or on off-road areas with a rental car.
