Once you've been to all of the well-known attractions in Vera, there's plenty more to explore in the surrounding region. Pick up the keys to a rental car, toss your bags in the trunk and hit the road. Here are some road trips we think you'll enjoy:

• Make tracks to Telavi for an excellent sightseeing adventure. Around 40 miles from Vera, it has lots of cool sights like Lopota Lake.
• Your next pit stop? Make it Kutaisi, which is around 110 miles away. Parliament of Georgia is one local highlight you really shouldn't miss.
• Get out into the great outdoors and breathe in some fresh air at Batumi Botanical Garden. It's approximately 160 miles from Vera.
