“The staff were very friendly and breakfast was good. Parking would have been better if we were told that they had a voucher for parking. We were not told that until after my husband went driving around looking for a place to park. I would not completely recommend this place as our "junior suite" was basically in the attic and we had to climb 39 stairs every day up and down. Be sure to know what room you have and do not get rooms 8 or 9 unless you like climbing stairs everyday.”

“The hotel is well located in a very quiet spot of the historic centre, not much kerb appeal but nicely designed lobby and the rooms are eminently Instagramable and very clean with comfy beds but they lack comfort like no easy chair (just two small poufs) no table or desk, no shelves (bar the mantelpiece) and a microscopic wardrobe. Our view would have been much better if the Ironman marquee which was getting built at the time of our stay was not right in front of the hotel and our room. Had we known this we probably would not have booked this hotel. We loved the beach towels and basket available to take to the beach. Breakfast was just OK - wish there was more choice.”

“Clean room and comfortable bed, good size, and the freezer was a nice addition. The breakfast was plentiful including cooked options. The staff were helpful and offered me an early check in and a slightly later check out too. The bathroom tap had poor pressure and the shower head holder was broken. The biggest issue was though the loud noise from adjoining primary school throughout the day from early morning to late evening, which made working remotely, etc very difficult. “This hotel is stunning, relaxing and tranquil. The staff are incredible and accommodating in every way. It is in a beautiful location over looking the water. You do have to walk or drive into town or to the beach but it is a wonderful walk. We would definitely stay there again when we are in the area. The breakfast is fresh and delicious as is the room service”
