Beautiful Views on outskirts Orvieto

My family stayed for three nights as a side trip from Rome. The check-in was easy. The property manager was responsive and Tina met us at the property and showed us around when we arrived. The house is a beautiful from the exterior with a rustic stone facade and the views of the countryside are amazing, especially in the early morning. It is a 15 minute drive to Orvieto and accessible for travel by car or train on other excursions (we went by car to Assisi and by train to Florence with ease). Families traveling with children should be advised that the interior of the house is a bit of a maze, with distance between the main living area and the bedrooms. And there is adult-themed (erotic) art located in nearly every room of the house. We did not see this in the listing or the photos online. While art is a matter of taste, parents should take note of this feature in order to make an informed decision. The house is very much rustic, which we expected to a degree. For example, a wood fireplace in the kitchen is the heating source for the entire house. The house could use a thorough cleaning, especially floors and bathrooms. I will say that Tina was amazing and started a fire for us while we were away one day in order to heat the house. Without her, we would have had colder nights!

Amazing!

This place was absolutely amazing. Manuela was absolutely amazing. She met us when we arrived and had a basket full of pasta, red sauce, bread, and wine in the fridge. This was such a nice touch, especially when you've been traveling for a number of days. "House" is not a totally accurate description. I would say it is a combination of a castle and a villa. It has so many cool rooms and nooks. It is like a cool cave, but with tons of open airy spaces too. The exterior was so relaxing with tons of spaces to choose from. The pool was pristine and the grounds seemed never ending. Our group was myself, my husband, our 15 and 18 year old boys, and my 73 year old mother. We all agreed that this was our favorite place on our month long trip. I just can't say enough about this place and Manuela's kindness. I highly recommend it.
