Enjoy the cool creek side or cast a line for trout; sleep to the sounds of the rushing creek or a gentle rain from the metal roof. Our unique, rustic, and comfortable cabin is located outside of Bryson City - only a few miles from the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

The ten-window, secluded, enclosed back porch invites you to relax as you watch the variety of birds while listening to the rushing mountain stream just 30 yards away. Enjoy sitting on the deck down on the river or roasting marshmallows at the creek side fire pit. This quaint, two-to-five person cabin consists of an eat-in kitchen, one bathroom, one-bedroom with a queen-size bed, and a very large, vaulted ceiling, cozy living room with original wide-pine flooring and wormy chestnut walls, flat screen 50" TV, a gas-log fireplace and comfy furniture.

The TV includes Dish satellite, streaming capability (bring your login info) and wireless internet.

*Please note that this cabin is not wheelchair/handicap friendly, as shown in the photo gallery; there are steps at both exterior entrances and three steps indoors leading to the bathroom and bedroom area.

Smoky Mountains Getaway

We had a wonderful time staying here. Our kids loved playing around outside and we all loved sitting around in the sunroom with the windows open listening to the sound of the creek. We will definitely stay here again!

Quaint country cabin

It was a lovely country home stay. Well equipped kitchen very homey and comfortable. More neighbors than I expected but still fairly private. The creek was nice and we enjoyed the historic homestead of a past generation. Great stay!

Cozy Stay

We stayed here for a weekend trip. It was very comfortable and easy to relax. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to be able to cook our meals instead of always going out. The outside was beautifully done and has a nice stream running through. Very happy with this property.

Nice quiet getaway

My husband and I enjoyed a quiet long weekend in this simple cabin. Lovely creek right out back and even found a trailhead close by and hiked up to the falls. We didn’t want to do too much, just wanted a simple getaway and this place provided just that.

Sweet cottage by the creek

Great lottle property on Alarka Creek. We loved sitting on the dock by creek and watching the birds visit the feeders on the screened in porch. Perfect space for a quiet getaway.

Peaceful creek side cabin

This was the perfect place for a couples getaway for the long holiday weekend. Well-stocked kitchen made breakfast easy each morning. The fireplace made the whole cabin nice and toasty; we used it to get the chill out of the air in the morning and at the end of the day of exploring Bryson City and other local points of interest. We would stay here again!

The cabin is warm and comfortable. You feel right at home from the moment you walk in. We kept the windows open and you could hear the creek running from inside the cabin. Definitely did not disappoint. If you are looking for a quiet getaway in the mountains this is it!

Cozy and cute!

Cabin was adorable, plenty of space inside for more than the 2 people we traveled with. Kitchen was well equipped. The backward was gorgeous, loved sitting out by the creek. Felt pretty secluded even though there were other places nearby (couldn’t be seen from the house). Drive was windy but only 20 minutes from town. Wifi was good but no cell reception.

Wonderful Stay

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this lovely cabin. Everything was pristine when we walked in and had everything we needed for our stay. When we go back to this area, we will definitely stay again. Learning about the historic cabin was amazing, it took me back in time to the lovely family that lived there. Absolutely peaceful

I can’t say enough about this place! It has everything you could possibly need including beautiful scenery and peacefulness away from the hustle and bustle of the everyday rat race. From the moment we walked through the door we felt at home! The house was impeccably clean, the yard was beautiful! Everything was just as promised! Christmas Vacation

We took our 9 year old daughter and we all had such a great week. The cabin is clean and had everything we needed. Even though you are out away from everything, you are still close to everything. The river was so peaceful. It rained the last two days and the road to and from was very safe. Beautiful scenery on the drives. Will definitely be back. The only downside was there is no outside covering for when it rains.

Peaceful Easy Feeling

The location is where you can enjoy silence. Raise the back windows and listen to the stream flowing all night long. Kitchen has everything needed to prepare food except for the food you bring with you. Cellphones do not work except for messaging with the included wifi. Would recommend doing the 5+ mile curvy road in the daytime the first time.Will rent again. Thank you

Nature and coziness

From the moment we arrived until the sad moment when we had to leave my husband and I had the best time ❤️ Absolutely the coziest place ever! So much love and detail went in to making it that way. And then to put icing on the cake there’s a beautiful little yard with the creek flowing over the river rocks. The enclosed sunroom was perfect with cute painted rocks and wood at every window. The bedroom, kitchen, living room, and bathroom are just as adorable. We don’t have one single complaint. 5 stars!!!

Comfortable cabin near Smoky Mountains

Imagine staying at your grandma's with a homey and comfortable mix of older furniture, afghans and pillows on every chair and couch, knick-knacks on all surfaces, complete with doilies, a kitchen with every kind of pan and utensil, and the sound of a flowing creek in the background! Had the weather been a little warmer, we would have enjoyed the sunny enclosed porch and the creek side deck also. The hostess was great at communicating. The cabin was well supplied with everything we needed and more than many places we have stayed. Be aware, as other guests have mentioned, that there are some different levels within the cabin which means a few steps up and down. Also I gained a few grey hairs traveling the narrow and very curvy road to the cabin, especially when our minivan met a school bus. But the views are beautiful and the location is a great spot to rest after a day of hiking in the Smokies. We had a wonderful vacation.
