“This is a clean old-fashioned two bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and a back porch which is shared by several other units. I didn't see anyone else so they may not be occupied. There are businesses on the street level and apartments above. The building is quite old which shows in the woodwork and windows. There are air-conditioners and fans for comfort but I didn't need them. There is a large old fashioned stove in the living room at the front of the unit but I did not see anything else so……

“Upon arrival at first everything was great. As we unpacked we noticed small things, like a used towel under the couch in the living room and no waterproof shower curtain for inside the shower. Almost every piece of dishware we pulled out to use had to be rewashed because of dried food stuck on them. Our biggest concern was the hornets nest on the porch, but we went and got spray and sprayed it ourselves and it was okay the rest of the trip. The house stayed nice and cool and the location is……

“The cabin was great, close by to all the things we love about the area. If you're looking for a quiet, lovely rustic mountain setting, this is your rental!! We will definitely rent again!”

“Would like to have had a few more hooks in the bathroom for hanging things like robes etc. Not much else to say....its a good place to stay. Owner was quick to return calls and gets an A+. Would suggest a dresser in the main bedroom and perhaps organize the items in the closets better. Shelves perhaps. All and all the stay was great...the place is old but a lot of good work has gone into it. The firefly suite looks the best...has new fresher appeal. Back balconies are nice and solid. I……

“The place was wonderful. I cannot think of anything that we needed that wasn't there. We all loved the little decorator touches throughout the cabin. It made it so comfortable and relaxing. The sounds and views of the creek were calming while we enjoyed the firepit.”

“The owners were very responsive, clean, comfortable, and exactly as shown. Would stay there again.”

“Great place! We really enjoyed the stay.”

“awesome stay”

“It's was a amazing relaxing weekend”

“This is a lovely house close to Cook Forest, great for a two-person getaway.”

“Travel to this location was challenging at night. The house itself is very rustic with steep stairs up to the upstairs bedrooms that could be challenging for seniors. The top of the stairs is a safety issue. The cleaning was adequate. The farm abimals nearby were fun to watch.”

“Very peaceful location. Loved sitting on the Adirondack chairs and watching the river! The chalet was very clean, and we liked the layout. The windows looked out to the river which was a beautiful view.We are hoping to make it there again.”
