Located on the popular East Side of Chincoteague Island, you'll enjoy water views of the Assateague Channel and lounging on the outside decks (one which includes an outside shower). This open floor plan home features two bedrooms downstairs (both with a queen bed and a TV each), a half bathroom, and spacious living room & kitchen. Upstairs you'll find 2 more bedrooms (one with twin trundle and the other with 2 twins) and a full bathroom. Just a short drive to the Memorial Waterfront Park, public boat launch, downtown area and restaurants! Shell Cottage also includes all the modern conveniences such as wireless internet, washer/dryer, dishwasher and more. And you'll have room to park your boat and trailer. This just may be your perfect vacation spot! IMPORTANT NOTE: The hot tub is closed 10/01/25, it will reopen Spring of 2026. \- Linens and towels are included with your reservation. \- No smoking is permitted on the premises. \- This property is pet friendly with a pet fee per pet. Pet fee is $150 per pet. All pets must be disclosed prior to arrival. \- Any reservations made for a future year (known as "Advanced Reservations") are subject to rate and availability changes. Close to everything. I rated it 4 stars because there were no paper products in the rental. We were not told to bring any so upon entering we had to ensure we had toilet paper, although some on the holder not enough for 4 days.and I’d rent it again. The overall trip was great and we would revisit this rental for sure! The rental location was perfect for exploring the area with or without pets. There were a lot of good local food places to check out. The fenced in yard was great for the dogs as we could sit outside with them. The cottage was exactly as advertised. It is much bigger inside than it looks and we loved the beach theme used inside for decorating. Our pup really enjoyed the large fenced yard, the kitchen was well stocked and the location was perfect for our needs. The hot tub was an amazing addition that we enjoyed daily during our visit! The downstairs front bedroom gets very bright in the morning. Because of this I would recommend adding black out curtains but it did not deter from our stay at all. We had a great stay over Memorial Day Weekend. The house was as-described and in a perfect location. We could see the ponies from our windows! We did have a bit of trouble with the A/C and refrigerator, but when we reported it to the property manager, they were at the house within 15 minutes and had everything fixed. We've never seen so many conch shells in one place! We were inspired to search the beach for our own. The space was perfect for our crew. The kids had the upstairs bedrooms and adults had downstairs. The queen beds were a bit too soft for us, but we slept just fine. Description says charcoal grill, but we didn't see it anywhere on the property.
