The property was built in 2011 in one of the most the scenic locations in Cowal. Interior Bright, spacious and light Shellduck Cottage has been warmly decorated to create a welcoming home from home. The ground floor features a large living space, and an inviting sunroom with double doors leading onto a deck area with views over the loch – perfect for an alfresco breakfast or an evening drink to soak up the setting. The living areas all enjoy stunning window views finished with and a cosy wood burning fire and central heating. Perfect for all seasons. There’s a well-equipped kitchen and dining area enjoy views and leads to a utility room, shower room and another outside door, serviced by a ramp for wheelchairs. All three bedrooms have their own ensuite bathroom with bath tub. There are two twin bedrooms downstairs, one can be converted to a double. The first floor has a double room that boasts stunning views down the loch and beyond, featuring a spacious pamper bathroom. There is a large landing with a sofa bed or it can be a quiet space for reading or enjoying the loch views. Explore The manicured garden is filled with roses and flowers in spring and summer, this area is fenced, so is safe for children to play in. Fishing is available on the owners private stretch of river. Rods are available if required. Your views are simply stunning. Easy access to the Ferries to Bute/ Tarbert and Dunoon ..Andrew , our host was very helpful and made our stay memorable.We used a wheelchair and his concrete ramp was ideal for entering and leaving this spacious property. I know you don't go to watch television but when the weather is not to good and you have small children you need somethig of a decent size to watch . The cottage was lovely, very clean & welcoming. It had everything we could have wanred including cot & high chair for our 6 month old granddaughter & unlimited logs for the fabulous log fire. The surrounding area is stunning with plenty walks for our dogs. Andrew & Sheila were perfect hosts who gave us our pivicy but were also on hand if needed! Thanks you both it was the perfect break to re-charge before getting back to work! We would love to return & hopefully one day we will. Susan Craig & family! The cottage is located in a picturesque spot at the head of loch Riddon. The house was clean with adequate facilities ,a well equiped kitchen , comfy beds ,with the woodburning fire making the evenings nice and cosy , with the views from the windows looking onto the loch, delightful, The decked terrace lends itself to barbecues and quiet evening drinks-- this house has a lovely ambience.
