“I cannot recall leaving a review before however, our experience was one I do not wish to repeat. We booked a suite. It really was not worth the money. Tired, shabby & with air conditioning that sounded like a struggling car engine. The bed however was very comfortable but overpriced. The receptionists on both days were lovely & very welcoming. Breakfast was terrible, by 9.20am pastries had ran out, no water & they got our order wrong. When it was finally served the toast wasn’t toasted, it……

“The Kings Arm was in such a good location in Woodstock within walking distance of all the shops and beautiful Blenheim Palace. It is nice to stay in such a historic pub and hotel, but as with many aged facilities there are some trade offs. The bed was very comfortable, but the room could get incredibly hot. The room is also quite tight for 2 travelers. The small shower needed servicing as the metal soap, shampoo holder was totally hanging off one side and also had poor drainage, once leaking……

“Badic accommodation. Poor value for money. A pub with rooms. You could smell the fried chips when you opened the door in the car park. The staff were jobs worth and not welcoming. Poorly maintained property which felt grubby. My room had a sash window broken so couldn't open it. Only good thing were the bath towels and good mattress. Pillows awful. Make sure you don't have a room on the front of the hotel as the noise from the road is continous through the night. I would not stay there……
