“My husband and I can’t say enough good things about this place! We’re already thinking about trying to book it in the fall. We loved disconnecting from the world and connecting with nature here- there was so much wildlife and it was just so peaceful. The dogs loved running through the woods, hiking, swimming and “helping” us fish- they were exhausted at the end of each day! “The house was clean and quaint. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. Kids loved the paddle boat. Seen lots of wildlife which was neat. Will be back.”

“It is an interesting property with lots of outdoor deck space. Inside there is a comfortable living room. The beds are older and not made to support someone who is 200 lb or more (I purchased a blow up air mattress). The kitchen is well provisioned. I was there for work so did not explore the lake, it looks a bit swampy near the house. You need to bring your own boat to do this.”

“Our family gathered at this Great Lake home and had the most wonderful time! The cabin is set up great-the kitchen is stocked with what we needed, there’s fun board games, the deck space was phenomenal, the sunroom our favorite spot. The deck was fantastic too! Fun beach area for our littles and the lake is peaceful and so pretty. Great spot for grilling and fantastic grill! Comfy beds! Highly recommend!”

“The leaves were exploding in color during our stay at Balsam Lake. The cabin was everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Quiet, comfortable and beautiful. We brought our canoe to explore the lake and we found some lovely wineries/breweries nearby. We would absolutely stay again!”

“We had a relaxing evening away from the city life. The cabin was stocked with kitchen utensils and lots of fun games. The main bedroom had an older queen bed and every time you turned over it would creek and the pillows could’ve been more comfortable for the price we paid. The comforter didn’t smell fresh and the room smelled damp. We also noticed the remote for the gas fire place and the beautiful yard lights were out of order. “For a long weekend in the area, this was a great place for my wife and I, two of our adult sons and our dog. The house was clean and comfortable and just off a nice park trail for our pup. Kitchen supplies (spices and oils) were somewhat limited, so bring your own if you intend to cook. Pots and pans were adequate. Host supplied Keurig cup coffee.”

“I had a great stay! It was apparent that this property used to be a Country Inn but you wouldn’t know the difference once there. The property was clean, relaxing, and everything worked as it should. I would definitely recommend this hotel!”
