“This property was perfect for our get away. There was plenty of space for everyone. We loved making fires at night and relaxing under the stars. Our host was great and it was nice having a little store on site. If you are thinking about booking here, do it!”

“The cabin was as pictured; nice furniture, a well equipped kitchen and 2 nice bedrooms. The main attraction though, was the Escanaba River flowing just steps from the cabin. The expansive deck was perfect for relaxing. We enjoyed watching birds and seeing deer along the gravel road nearby. ”

“We loved everything about this home and the surrounding property. As others have mentioned - it's a good 30 minutes to any neighboring towns, so we made sure plan our meals ahead and brought groceries with us. The house is lovely, spacious and was perfect for our 3 generations and two dogs. It was exactly as described and we enjoyed seeing the deer cross the lawn, beautiful sunrises across the basin and the comfortable indoor/outdoor seating options! We hope to be back again some time!”

“We really enjoyed our stay at DD Lodge. My family, ages ranging from 94 years to three years, and I booked this property for a family vacation and it was perfect! The Lodge is amazing, very spacious and beautiful! The property is very clean and very well maintained, with all the amenities we were looking for and more. We enjoyed our morning coffee and stargazing in the four-season room, grilling, and nighttime campfires roasting s’mores with the kids. The location of the lodge made it an easy……

“We had a cool weekend at the home, but it was relaxing and peaceful. The sunrises were amazing over the lake. The home was exactly as pictured. Everything you needed was available. The house was set back on the lake and was very private. A great place to stay. Warmer weather and we would have enjoyed the water. Beautiful beachfront ”

“We rented two adjacent cabins for 9 of us, my wife and I and our two young adult daughters and my brother in law and sister in law with their three young adult kids. Small cabins but were as advertised and very cozy and clean and nicely appointed - was just right for early morning coffee on the deck, some water sports, time together around the fire, family games, etc. and also quick to get to downtown Gladstone or escanaba. Super easy to work with the owner Stacy. Had a great time and we all……
