The view was amazing - but that’s about all I can say that was good. The furniture was old and falling apart. The couch was extremely uncomfortable and dirty. It is a white cloth couch that has seen much better days. One of the legs to the sitting chair is breaking and we ended up putting it up where no one would sit on it for fear of it breaking when someone was sitting in it. The rocking chair is old and gets stuck when rocking. There is exposed wood at the bottom of the chair, my kids and I got scrapes from it. The master bed is held up with 2x4s, is an old uncomfortable mattress that squeaks anytime you move ever so slightly. The lights are dim and it is hard to see even with all the lamps and overhead light on. The hair dryer was completely broken and the heating element was exposed - we had to put in a ticket with the management company. The coffee pot didn’t work, another ticket to management. There were multiple light bulbs burned out. The ceiling in the master bath is coming down, the trim is falling off in the hall. The floors are not cleaned very well - I recommend bringing socks or slippers to walk around the condo - my children’s feet were almost black the first night we stayed there. We put in tickets with the management company and it was over 24 hours before the concerns could be addressed - they brought a new coffee pot and hair dryer and replaced the light bulbs. I am a coffee drinker and had to buy my own pot until they replaced theirs.

Would Not Recommend

I chose this property because we were looking for an affordable condo on the beach that would fit our family of 5. It seemed to have great reviews but I’m wondering if those reviews were real bc we def did not have that experience. On a positive note, Check-in process was seamless and could have even checked in early, view from the balcony was lovely. Now on to the negatives. We arrived around 9pm and immediately realized there was no bedding for the couch bed and sand in one of the bunk beds. I texted Vacasa and no reply so I went to the front desk and they said to call Vacasa. I texted again and this time received a reply to “check everywhere for the bedding” this texting went on for 2 hours, and even on till the next day. The existing bedding on every bed consisted of 2 paper thin sheets so we covered up with our beach towels. The next day Vacasa told us to go to Walmart and buy the bedding we needed as there was no one to service our condo!!The hot water tank will only fill the tub about halfway before running out. The couch was FILTHY, terribly stained. Not fit for sitting or sleeping. Bunk bed ladder had a broken rail. I wish I could submit pics, just lots of little things that looked old, broken etc…. Main bed is very uncomfortable and squeaky. AC unit works but drips loudly and constantly. Overall I would rate the condo 6/10, it def needs some repairs, but unfortunately the non-existent Vacasa customer service was a 0/10. Would not recommend or ever rent from Vacasa.

Run far and do not look back

Never in 15 years have I ever left a bad review with VRBO - REVIEWS ARE NOT ACCURATE The air conditioner was not working after around 20 texts 20 phone calls a visit with HOA then Having to threaten with legal Action was there finally someone there to fix the air absolutely ridiculous I have pictures of everything I am stating and the air got up to almost 90° after driving eight hours to get there that’s what we had to sleep offered us a day and a half refund And the air conditioner was not turned on until around 5 o’clock. The next day that was good compared to the bugs in the bed. One woke me up in the middle of the night crawling on me. I was scared to death to catch lice. Obviously they were bedbugs , the furniture was absolutely filthy. There was a hair in the shower which that happens but still gross. The pantry light-oven light outside light were all burnt out icemaker did not work. normally takes 9 to 12 minutes to bake cookies took 25 -the microwave didn’t work properly -bed was absolutely hard as a rock. Some people may like that but we just bought a Stearns and foster at home so we not used to sleeping on cement- outside patio light which I like to have light on at night it was hanging by a string again have pictures of everything stated It was absolutely gross and report it to who? took an act of Congress to get the air on why would I think this would get fixed never again. I requested owner to contact me. Never did. do not rent !!!

Destin

The condo itself was fine and the location was good. I booked through VRBO who then subbed it out to Vacasa. We were suppose to check in at 4:00 and at 4:30 I still had not received an e mail or information about how to get into the location. I walked into the lobby and the woman there was very nice, but told me that Vacasa would have that information. I called Vacasa and they advised me that they could not find my reservation. I spelled my first and last name several times. The woman finally found it and then advised me I would need to go to their location in Destin. I called the local Vacasa and again was told they could not find my reservation. I have a common name and it's not difficult to spell. After waiting for another 45 minutes he finally found my reservation and then told me the hotel had the code. I went back into the lobby where I was once again told Vacasa has the code. I called back and after another wait, he found me the code. There was no information on the Wifi so I called again about that and it took them two days to get me the info. Not the condo owners fault, but I will never use VRBO (Vacasa) again!

Wonderful vacation

Everything was great, and we had every amenity needed during our stay. From check-in to check-out, we had a wonderful time. We left 2 boogie boards and a pool float in the closet for future guests to enjoy. :)

Very relaxing weekend

This condo is absolutely awesome! The view of the water is perfect and being on the 3rd floor is just right. The property is clean and everyone is so friendly and helpful. We were there during peak season in July and were very impressed by how smoothly everything flowed. Only complaint is the mattress in the master, it was a little to firm for our liking. But we had a great relaxing weekend and highly recommend this condo.

It should be advised that the property doesn’t have a public beach area except way behind setups..

The property was not as nice as I expected it to be based on the reviews. And the fact that it didn’t have beach towels or any public beach access, and the only way to be on the beach is in the water or rent 2 chairs & an umbrella for $35. That was quite disappointing. You could setup behind the 5 or more rows of chair setups, which was fine, but didn’t know I needed to bring beach towels or a blanket, and that was kind of hard since I traveled by plane to the location.

Just OK

We were somewhat disappointed in the entire building. There was nothing awful, but it was just ok. The condo was very small and felt cramped. The bed was so hard the I had a back ache the whole time. The view out of the balcony was of an unfinished pool with dirty water. We were not made aware of this. There was another small pool. We ended up leaving two days early because it was just depressing to us. Maybe it was the rainy weather, but we like our own home better , so we left.

Wonderful Experience

We enjoyed our stay during the spring break with our kid. This unit has a wonderful ocean view, easy access to the beach, and close to shops and restaurants. The check-in process was very easy, and the property was very clean and updated. This unit has one bedroom with a king-size bed, a bunk bed, a sofa bed in the living room, and two full bathrooms. Laundry room was relatively clean and near the unit. Also the owner, Frances, was wonderful to communicate with and very responsive and helpful to answer all our questions. We will love to come back and stay in the same unit and highly recommend to others.

Loved the lower floor

2 of 4 elevators weren’t in operation so we appreciated using the stairs. Very doable on the third floor. View will be great once the pool construction is complete. Right over pool, looking out to gulf. Remember to bring your own paper towels/napkins and dish soap, etc for disposal and cleaning. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

All the comforts of home

My Sister and I spent a fabulous, stress-free week in Frances’ condo and enjoyed Destin and all it has to offer. We highly recommend this beautifully appointed home with every convince one could image. Frances was extremely helpful and prompt to respond to any messages. We plan to stay here again as soon as possible. Thank you Frances!!

Weekend Getaway

Overall our visit was not as good as we would have liked. My husband and I never get away. He is disabled and this place is not setup for handicapped persons at all. There is NO handicapped parking near the front entrance. There were 4 main elevators that were out of order on our 2nd day when we returned from sight seeing and I don't think they ever got all of them working the rest of our stay. When I booked, I was under the impression that there were 3 pools and beach access. When I arrived, the main pool is under construction. I did find a smaller pool and the inside pool which I was not interested in. Upon arrival and placing our things in the refrigerator, it smelled strongly of bleach and there was frozen fish, bait, and bagged ice left in the freezer. I did contact the owner who contacted me back fairly quickly but showed little concern. I will have to pay closer attention and ask more questions before booking something again.

Perfect Place for Six

This property was exactly as described. It is much larger than the pictures portray. My husband and I stayed, along with our 2 teenage sons and 1 friend each. Our oldest son and his friend slept in the bunk beds. Both boys are about 5’10”. They both said they were comfortable and loved the shelf, light and plug-in above their pillow on each bed. Our youngest son and his friend slept on the pull-out couch. He is 5’11”. They both said it was very comfortable. They made the couch each morning and had room under the 2 square tables (coffetable) to stash the bedding for the day. My husband and I slept in the king-sized bed. It slept like a dream! There was plenty of drawers in the bedroom to hold all of our clothes and even more room in the closet in the bedroom to hang clothes and put extra shoes. The boys who slept in the bunk beds had 3 drawers to put their clothes. We put all the empty suitcases in our van during our stay, so they were out of the way. The boys who slept in the pull-out couch put each of their suitcases under the sofa table near the kitchen and used that space as their drawers. Everyone put extra shoes to the left of that table to keep them out of the hallway. The kitchen was extra spacious and had any utensil or cookware that one would need. The table seated 6, which was perfect for all of our meals. On top of that, the kitchen island provided an extra 4 more seats, which came in handy for laptop stations. The two bathrooms provided plenty of privacy and space for six people. The teenage boys had their own bathroom, while my husband and I had ours. There is also an extra large closet that houses all of the beach equipment such as chairs, toys, etc. and even our cooler that we brought with us. We had plenty of towels for our stay with enough for 6 in each bathroom. Just be sure to bring your own beach towels, which we did. The balcony was very large with plenty of seating with a table and side table. The view has an amazing ocean-front view and being on the 3rd floor is a plus! The decor is so nice and everything neat and clean. We would absolutely book this room from this Miss Frances Wadley again!
