“Florette was wonderful and the breakfast that was included was fantastic. Loved my comfortable room that has everything I needed, including hot plate, microwave and fridge. You can walk to the center of town where everything is, along the waterfront in 10 minutes. I took the ferry to Guatemala one day. There's no air conditioning (typical in Belize), but this isn't a problem since you're right on the ocean and there are plenty of fans. What was a problem is there were no screens on two windows,……

“This island is AMAZING! Everything from the gorgeous water, snorkeling, kayaking, well appointed cabanas, friendly staff, to the phenomenal food! My husband and I really enjoyed our relaxing vacation. We love that it wasn’t a party atmosphere but a laid back and enjoyable one. We had the island to ourselves most of the time with day trippers only staying for part of the day. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique getaway suitable for lovebirds or families!”

“I spent nearly a month in Belize, avoiding winter. I chose this location because it was far away from the hustle and bustle of town, but also planned on using the bicycles mentioned in the listing to get around, as taxis are incredibly expensive. No bikes, and they’re not replacing them, so if you need to get to the grocery store it’s about a 30 min walk. I recommend going right when they open at 8am before it gets too hot.
