“We arrived early so had a drink in the bar, check in was at 4 but they started to let people check in at 15:40, it was smooth and there were no issues, the lady was friendly and very helpful. As we got to the lodge the main entrance was covered in bird poo, that had definitely been left there a while, we did notice 3 nest right above the door which could not be help but it was obvious there had been no attempt to clean the poo, we went back to reception and showed them photos to which we were……

“We purposely booked the advertised 8 birth turned lodge as it clearly stated in the property details, this had a hot tub. Upon arrival and when given the keys we questioned why we hadn’t been given the lodge we paid for and the response was VRBO had just used a description and falsely advertised the lodge had a hot tub. The check-in clerk (elder lady) on site was rude and gave every excuse under the sun to not accommodate what we’d paid for and when we spoke to Hoseasons, they were all too……

“This home was perfect for our family get away! It was clean and well equipped for us to spend our days out exploring but able to come back and prepare dinner. There was pizza and ice cream available on site as well. So comfortable.”

“We really enjoyed our stay! The listing said it had a hot tub but when we arrived it didn’t. I read after that the external company listed it incorrectly. The only down side was the property wasn’t cleaned very well - old used contact lenses around the desk and bedside table and there was hairs on the bathroom shelf. I did a quick clean myself and throughly enjoyed the rest of our week the location was perfect and our lodge was next to the pond which was lovely.”

“Keswick Reach was a lovely place to stay and very secluded... too secluded for us. Our car broke down on day 3 of a 5 day stay. We were left solely dependent on what little food we had, what the shop sold and what the restaurant served. We found the shop lacked items like bacon, sausages, bread, etc but had a lot of sweets and crisps. It is far from other shops so we expected more. My dad can't have cheese as it sets his heart out of rhythm, so he could only have garlic bread when it was pizza……
