“Very well equipped accommodation. Great base for exploring the area. Beamish museum very close and well worth a visit. Also close enough to visit Newcastle, can get metro so don't have to drive in, Hadrians wall, Derwent water. Lot of places to visit. Good location if doing Great North Run.”

“Property was lovely. Everything we needed for stay. Plenty plates, glasses and utensils in kitchen. Lots of room in lounge for us all. Bedrooms comfy and bathrooms lovely too with towels and nice hand wash. Would recommend to family and friends and definitely be back again soon.”

“Flat was spacious, but dated, and is located in an undesirable area. Cleanliness was generally okay but decor etc could do with upgrading and flat may benefit from being aired regularly. We got the impression that it had been a while since the windows had been opened.”

“Property needed a deep clean. I sneezed a lot and had black dust come out of my nose. Heating didn’t work sometimes and the room was quite cold. I booked through Expedia and check out said 11 am and I wasn’t told any check out time by the owner. On the morning of check out a cleaner knocked at the door and we shouted we were still inside. I popped to the loo and finished packing my back when the cleaner knocked again which I thought was odd so I double checked on my emails and then clarified the……

“The Hen House cottage was a great place to stay for our trip in the Durham area. The village of Brandon is a beautiful location for going for walks in the countryside and with a great pub/ restaurant called the Bay Horse Inn on 50m away it’s a perfect place to stay. The village is very close to the historic house, chapels and gardens of Ushaw and Brancepeth Castle, which are both excellent places to visit!! Would happily stay here again when visiting the area as it’s a perfect little……
