And when you need some R & R there’s a well equipped kitchen and a comfy bed in v tranquil setting, listening to the resident owl. Thank so much!”

“The Retreat was the perfect place to stay in Windermere. It was stocked with everything I needed from an umbrella to salt, pepper and vegetable oil for cooking. The location was ideal. It was close to the train station and the Main Street. It was very quiet because it was on a little side street. I highly recommend it.”

“Lovely cottage. Nice and clean. Good location for seeing the lake district. Did need a bit of a clean outside the cottage. The stairs leading up to the accommodation. Wasn't stayted on description there where steps going up into cottage.”

"hotel is really nice, room are big and clean with good ventilation but the food at the pub is not recommended "

"The location is great and nearby the ferry pier. But the hotel is not in good maintenance at room, the toilet ceiling have a lot of dirty water marks, it looked disgusting. I booked a lakeview room that cost £250 a night, but not worth it, the room is really dilapidated, even they don't have a refrigerator at room, I needed to keep my birthday cake in their restaurant. The room price wss including the breakfast but it was lack of choice, they serve breakfast until 10:30 am, when I ordered scrambling egg with smoked salmon toast, they said no more but I saw other customers have it, I thought smoked salmon and egg are very common foods in a hotel restaurant, I wondered why they can tell me no more stocks. I just can say this hotel not worth for money, they are overpriced. Staffs are not really friendly. "
