How can I get cheap hotels in Exeter?
Best tips to find a cheap hotel in Exeter
- If you're looking to travel to Exeter on a budget, you'll be happy to know that you can find hotels for as low as $116. Of course, that price is affected by amenities, star rating, and even the time of year you visit. At most, hotel prices can be as high as $233. Staying a short amount of time in Exeter is an effective way to reduce hotel costs.
- When you cut your vacation down to just a few days, you don't have to worry as much about hotel prices since you don't have that many nights to stay. For budget hotels in Exeter, 3 to 4 days should be all the nights you need. That's generally enough to enjoy the city's top attractions, though there's certainly enough to do to warrant a week-long trip.
- When booking cheap hotel rooms in Exeter, it's typically best to book about 3 weeks in advance. Book further in advance than that and you could be paying too much for your room, as hotels will often overestimate future demand. However, if you wait too long, you might find that the hotel has been completely booked.
- When you utilize search filters on Expedia, you'll be able to narrow down your results in a flash. These search filters cover a wide variety of factors you may be interested in when it comes to finding a cheap hotel in Exeter, including amenities such as Free Breakfast, 2-star rating, or proximity to local attractions. You can even set filters for price limits to ensure that all the displayed results are within your budget.

"The gentleman that checked me in was very nice. He made the check-in easy. At first, I was taken aback by the room - very, very dated. The furniture is so dark and old. The rug has stains all over but it was vacuumed. The sheets were clean and the bed was surprisingly very comfortable. The mini pillows (yes, they are half the size of regular ones) were the best pillows I have had in a hotel for a long time. I wish I could have stolen the one I was sleeping on. The toiletries were a nice surprise. The toilet and the shower were very clean. The light switch in the bathroom wasn't secured, but it worked. The walls and door in the bathroom looked like they tried to do something, but never finished it. There's little nail holes and unpainted parts. The room was very quiet. The AC was wonderful. I could feel it hitting me on the other side of the room. I did not eat breakfast there, but the area looked clean to me. Overall, if you're looking for a place to spend the night and not lounge around all day, this is the place for you. I would sleep there and that's it. They do have a television, but I didn't use it. I would recommend this hotel. Even though it's dated, it's very clean. The check-in and checkout process were seamless. It's quiet and I got a good night's sleep there. "
The Newport Harbor Hotel & Marina
8/10 Good
"Check in was easy. Young gentleman was very kind (can’t recall his name). Great location to walk to many places. Gorgeous outdoor views. Indoor pool was ok kept us cool. Outdoor patio would be nice if there were cushions on lounges and if music continued out on the deck. Restaurant for breakfast was great and not a bad price. Day of check in our room had debris on the floor and under the bed. Won’t mention what was found on floor, but unacceptable. Didn’t get to talk to manager but front desk decided to waive the daily destination fee (which I wasn’t aware of). Wish front desk mentioned complimentary coffee to us in the lobby. Spent $7-8 a day for a morning coffee. Also the $35 per day parking! Otherwise enjoyed sitting on the Adirondack Chairs facing the Bay and all the gorgeous yachts. If I stayed again maybe would pick a room with a view. Definitely would recommend it based on views and location."
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Warwick-Providence (Arpt) by IHG
8/10 Good
"The parking was free and easy. They have a lot in the front, as well as in the back with 24/7 access to the hotel with a key. The rooms were clean and comfortable, some things were a little worn like the table and head boards and the tv was outdated. Besides that everything worked fine and I was able to connect a Roku to the tv. Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast, scrambled eggs, meat and pancakes. Overall a good experience and would stay here again."
Wyndham Newport Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"It was a great hotel. I particularly love the shuttle that brought you back and forth. A great convenience and wonderful drivers who gave us some history of Newport Rhode Island. My second stay here."
