“I’ll begin by saying that the host was very easy to work with and responsive anytime that I contacted him. The typical response time was not even two hours. We were there to attend a wedding, and he graciously allowed us to check in early so that we could get ready. Outside of a slight mistake in the door code, the check-in was very seamless. The main floor was nice and cool and, although it was not upstairs, there were plenty of fans. There was a variety of bath towels available, and the beds……

“All of the rooms were clean and it was decorated beautifully. There were plenty of beds but the pillows were flat and needed 2 to make an actual pillow. There are only 2 rooms so not as much privacy as we expected based on the photos. One of the lights in the living room did not work. The shower pressure was not great and the towels available were leaving little fibers behind. The balcony did not look in good repair so we didn't risk going out on it. “We were a Dad, an adult son and hi two friends, so 4 large guys. The Happy Traveler Cabin was super clean, well stocked and roomy, we were very comfortable. Nicole did a great job and was easy to communicate with. We visit Starve Rock/Matthiesson/Ottawa several times a year, and this location was perfect. I posted a Turkey visitor in the backyard”
