Wonderful Views

Overall, this was a very lovely stay. We had not been to the Outer Banks before but appreciated that this location isn't terribly close to "everything" further North as when we did travel that way it was very busy. This location is much more relaxed. Vacasa communicated well and it was nice for the kids to use the Vacasa pool one day. The home is large and as pictured. The views of the sound are incredible. Check out procedures are slightly confusing. There's a paper on the fridge that says one thing, the Vacasa paperwork in the living room with something else, and a third paper near the main floor bathroom telling you to place linens in a tote (laundry basket?). I do like to leave the homes we stay in as clean as possible, so this was not as clear as it could be. Additionally, and this may be because we are used to other VRBOs, so I don't know if this is common here, I really would recommend at least double the towels that are provided. So, if you are a family of 5 staying all week like we did, you may want to bring your own so you aren't doing laundry so much. The home itself could use some updating with minor things (curtains need cleaning, a bookshelf needs reattached to the wall, paint touch ups). That being said, items that a housekeeper would regularly clean were impeccable (fridge, bathrooms, floors, etc.). Check in for us got pushed back an hour for the cleaning team, but this was clearly communicated, and I'd rather wait & have a clean home. Solid 4/5

House could use a little updating and the condensation drips from the vent in the master bathroom. Otherwise it was very clean and the perfect place. Having the use of kayaks and SUP’s were a great bonus! I would stay here again

Awesome House

The layout of the house is cozy with an open floor plan. It was perfect for us. The house might have been one of the cleanest houses we have stayed at in the OBX. The house was well maintained. The dock was very nice as well. The seating was comfortable. We also enjoyed the open views on the water side.

Nice area and the property had everything you need to ejoy a vacation.

Beautiful area and scenery. The home is a little dated and some areas could be cleaner but it has a wonderful dock, plenty of room for a family and all the amenities to make your stay enjoyable. We enjoyed our time there together.

Mixed Experience: Beautiful Location, but cleanliness and Pest Problems

- Character limit really makes it difficult to write a proper thorough review. In sum: - + Beautiful home, nice views, sunrise/sunset, close to Connors (an awesome fully stocked grocery store) and Ocracoke ferry. Several great restaurants in driving distance as well. - Place was filthy, and even though we let them know guests had severe pet allergies (and this is advertised as a pet-free property) pet hair was on all upholstered furniture. We had to clean the whole home ourselves at 8pm after a 7 hour drive with two young kids. Vacasa did eventually refund the cleaning fee. - Roaches. As soon as the sun went down the porch came to life, with tons and tons of roaches. We only found one inside (kitchen counter near the microwave), but there is likely an infestation that will eventually spill over into the house. Palmetto bugs (which is a euphemism for cockroach) are present in the OBX, but we come here annually to different rental properties and have rarely seen them. This house didn’t just have a few bugs. The porch unusable after dark unless you enjoy roaches crawling on you. - Vacasa takes a long time to respond to queries posted through chat. The responses are canned and robotic. It took us a few tries to get a real answer each time, or we had to call in. - The road in the neighborhood floods after even a small amount of rain, especially at the bottom of the driveway. Depending on the vehicle this may be a challenge.

Nice stay. A few upgrades would make this property amazing.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The location on the water was very nice. The deck, dock and kayaks were a huge highlight. The house is dated. We had seen this in photos and mostly knew what we were getting into. What you don’t see in photos is that there’s no ice maker (only ice trays), the recliners in the living space need to be replaced, outlets are loose and in many spots walls or ceilings are peeling or show damage. We really did love our stay, but a few upgrades at this house are needed to give folks an exceptional experience.

Family vacation

Amazing value

This was an incredible value. Yes the property looks a little outdated in the pictures but it shows much better in real life and has a lot of charm. Being on the water was magical and the views gorgeous. The management company was excellent and super responsive. We stayed as a family of 5 and everyone loved it equally as much.

Beautiful water view

This property was clean, had a fantastic view of the canal and sound. It is cosy and has a “cottage” vibe. Great that kayaks and paddle boards are available to use.we loved sitting out on the deck and the dock to catch those precious rays of sunshine in late March. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes, pots ,pans etc. probably one of the best we have been to. We loved it and would stay there again. It was our first time to the outerbanks and we want to return.

Perfect little beach house

the outside of the house makes this house look humongous. The inside is nice, small and cozy for a small family or a few friends. If you’re looking for a modern, updated beach house this isn’t it. It looks like a beachy grandmas house on the inside, which gives it a charm and nostalgic feeling. Overall it was clean and I would recommend this place. Definitely bring your own condiments.

Views galore - property not clean

I’m not sure where to start other than to say after multiple phone calls, Vacasa did refund the cleaning fee. We knew the property was basic and outdated, but as long as we had the amazing views and the property was clean, we didn’t care. Well we arrived late Friday after a full day to find 3 very full trash cans outside (trash blew around the next morning), half full trash in kitchen, bucket of old dirty linens/towels outside, our clean bucket of linens had only 5 towels and a few washcloths for 6 adults for 4 days, all countertops in kitchen were full of crumbs, refrigerator was dirty, dishes were dirty, floor had not been vacuumed, they Told us when I called ahead of time that there was not a grill on the property so we brought our own. Good thing I did. There was a grill but it was dirty and the grill tools were sitting on the grill and they were still dirty from the previous people. This property is only about the views. Cleaning fee was refunded.

Nice visit

House just as described. Has all you need. Did find some strands of long black hair on floor in bathroom and kitchen. It was also on blanket on king bed. That is only complaint. It was a great stay and would do again. One more thing. I did not receive a check in email. Thank you
