Larger towns in the surrounding area are Waren-Müritz with its beautiful harbour area and old town, the town of Röbel/Müritz and the nearby oldest rock barn in northern Germany in Bollewick is also very beautiful. The accommodation is also a good starting point for excursions to Plau, Güstrow, Rostock or Schwerin. There is a fishing jetty and a small bathing beach in the immediate vicinity of the accommodation and a large bathing beach on Lake Plau with catering facilities about 2 km away at Lenz.
