“I really like this hotel. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The restaurant is very good with vegetarian and vegan options. The server was absolutely sweet as pie. Gander as you know hosted 38 planes and roughly 7000 people during the no fly situation after 9/11. They are living up to their friendly reputation. A must for your historical journey. ”

“The main objective of our 15 day trip to Newfoundland was to see icebergs, puffins and several coastal villages. But we also wanted at least one night inland. Back Country Cottages fit that perfectly. A full 30 km inland on old logging roads and trails off the highway, to the cabin at a 12 km long “pond”.
