絕對值得體驗的特色房間

雖然沒有24小時櫃台，但服務貼心且專業，會先細心幫你解說附近地區的景點，飯店內的旅遊摺頁非常完整，裝潢也很具特色，整體房子都是保留shop house的結構特色，空間更是非常寬敞。

Good room, great manager.

We very much enjoyed our stay in George Town at the Magpie Heritage Hideaway - as other reviewers have mentioned, the manager Jern is a very friendly and helpful chap who gave us useful advice. The location is good for exploring George Town on foot and can also use Grab to get around easily. Don't expect the same finish/quality of furnishing/toiletries etc as a 5* hotel (why would you at this price?!) But do expect great service and a pleasant stay.

1. Location -The location is very convenient. It is nearby to some eateries and attractions. You can just walk around and will definitely find something interesting. However it is hard to get a parking for those who drive. 2. Room The room was very big and as other reviews said the mattress was very comfortable and I can vouch for this. However with that big of a room, the air condition was slightly mild. There were times when I was quite warm. 3. Facilities Facilities were good. It is sort of like a BnB where they prepared drinks and plates for those who want to eat in. There was hair dryer, coffee and tea prepared in the room and all sorts of international adapter. Really convenient. 4. Staff The staff are so friendly. They allowed us to check in early as my sister had a wedding to attend. Overall: I love it. Despite the minor improvements, its really a nice place to stay in Penang. I would come back.

Jern is extremely friendly. My wife and I went to Penang unprepared. Thanks to Jern, he provided us with lots of useful information and even upgraded our room. This property is a historic building in a convenient location (basically you can go to anywhere by grab). The room is also spacious and clean. It definitely won't disappoint you if you are looking for an alternative to typical hotels

Comfortable and great hospitality!

The hotel was located in a shophouse building, typical of Georgetown in Penang. We picked it for its location; it was only a 30-minute taxi ride from the airport and walking distance from the main tourist attractions in town. We had a huge room which was connected to our own bathroom and WC. The lobby's also very comfortable and welcoming. Our only drawback was that the air conditioning could have been stronger. We were there during the hottest period of the year in August and it took a while for the room to cool down. The best part of our trip was the great hospitality of the manager, Jern. He's prompt in replying and following up with our queries and also gave us recommendations when we needed them.

We loved our stay at the Magpie!! Not only was the location and room phenomenal, but we couldn’t have asked for a better host than Jern!!! As a local himself he know ALL the best suggestions and took so much time to walk us through a map of them as soon as we checked in. Still full from all the amazing food we ate, and already can’t wait to come back!!

Helpful and clean hotel

Absolutely amazing boutique hotel. The service was amazing and everyone was so helpful. They had a great/easy late night check in self service, they helped me plan my day trips around the city, and they went out of their way to help me take care of a small injury on my foot. Georgetown was one of my favorite destinations I’ve ever been and this hotel added to the amazement. It was so clean, modern, and beautiful. I was upgraded to a large and beautiful suite.

Very accommodating Staff. Understanding and caring

Extremely glad with our stay at Mango Tree Place. The Staff were helpful in understanding our situation and tried their best to assist despite our many changes. They were helpful in recommending places of interest and constantly checked on how we were doing. Rooms were spacious and clean. It came with all the necessary amenities that you would need. Location was quite good as well, located near most places of interest in Penang. Generally a very good stay and would definitely recommend to my friends visiting Penang.

Nice boutique hotel, pity about the warm room

Excellent location and decor, and the bed was comfortable. But the upstairs room we got felt warm -- the air-conditioner did not cool it down sufficiently, because it was quite far from the bed. Although the bathroom and toilet were private, they were not equipped with fan or air conditioning, as they were located outside the room.

Hidden Gem in George town Penang

Recently my partner had the pleasure of staying here and I am very happy we chose to! I had done quite a bit of research on places and everyone said this was the "Gem of Georgetown" I would have to agree. It was a little tricky to find the place, but that was the only downside, if you can call that a downside. Upon arrival we were sat down with the lovely lady from the desk who went through all the local tourism; Places to eat, places to shop, things to see and how to get there. She even had all the maps etc to go with it. She told us a few of her personal favourite spots. We got into the room and it felt more like my bedroom at home, had a real home and warm feeling to it. You get a swipe card so you can come and go as you please and the rooms are very quiet! Has AC and a fan and a very comfy bed. Would definitely suggest staying here if you're visiting Georgetown and I will be back!

Cozy & Tiny Hideout

It's my 1st experience in such hotel. Full of Scandinavian stuffs (haha, IKEA...). The only complaint is my room come without breakfast. Yes, it's near to famous attractions. Give it a try and you will love it.
