"This place is a hidden gem. Tucked away in the hillside far away from the hustle of a town however close enough to go to the beaches and local tavernas. They staff are excellent always welcoming, the rooms were clean and we booked a suite with a private pool this was amazing. We loved the privacy and the fantastic view over the hills. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to come back again."

"Once you find the place, it is awesome. We ended up at the owner's restaurant and his son personally escorted us to the apartment. BTW, we ate at their restaurant in the village each of the 3 nights. The apartment is spacious, clean and quiet. We enjoyed hiking in the area. Thanks for your hospitality, George and everyone."

"The villa was exactly as we imagined it. The location is great and you can reach the town center in just a few minutes on foot. The rooms were clean and the kitchen was well equipped. There was even a grill (which was a bit small for 11 people although). If there was a problem, Lucy and her husband were always there to help immediately. "My husband & I and two other couples stayed at Penelope Home for 5 nights. The home is located about halfway between the 2 airports on Crete. (About an hour each direction) We liked the central location and enjoyed hikes, caves, the beach and other activities. The suggestions for restaurants and bakeries by our host were spot on. The host also handled our transfers which was very much appreciated."
