“Convenient location along busy road, but private off street parking. Excellent communication w host. Comfy beds!”

“Easy place to stay while visiting family in the area. Very nice to have more room for our teenage boys. ”

“Clean house and rooms. Host was great. Hot tub was warm and perfect. Beds were comfy. Perfect house”

“The listing description was inaccurate. The property had several issues such as a steep staircase without a rail and an AC unit plugged in to an outlet that was in front of a doorway. Overall cleanliness and appearance was not appealing for when you go on vacation. Bed linens and pillows were very old. I didn’t feel comfortable using the bed or the linens provided.”

“Family of four, really enjoyed our stay. The host was communicative concerning a few snags, and the house was comfortable.”

“Overall a great place to stay in Allentown. The place is well appointed and the beds were comfortable. We ended up parking on the street as parking behind the building was a bit confusing to understand precisely where to park. You do have to pay to park on the street every day except Sunday. The owner of Gems and Joe was very kind and informative regarding the area. This is so much nicer than a hotel and so much more comfortable.”

“Property is nice and clean. Host is quick to respond if there’s a question. Interior is as pictured; no surprises. Nice and clean. All amenities worked and the hot water stayed hot in the shower. The heat worked good - it was below freezing and the heater kept up. I would recommend for a budget savvy traveler”

“The house was fine. Description would have better been described as a split level with three sets of stairs. The step into the front door is very high with no hand railing on the outside to help with getting up or down. When you are a little older with short legs it is very challenging. It would be better if the house numbers were better displayed as we passed by on several occasions when returning at night. Kitchen was nice with all that you need. The lone upstairs bedroom, on 3rd floor,……

“I thoroughly enjoyed my 22 day stay. The host supplied everything needed in kitchen and bathroom. We were very comfortable and enjoyed the landscape including all the deer. The host was always available to answer questions.”

“Great location..easy access to area”

“Our stay was very nice. Very clean home. The host was available for all questions and very helpful. We only stayed one night for a short visit to a near by collage tour. We will keep this location on the list for future visits. ”
