1. Walnut Lodge Cabin|Near Buckeye Lake|16 Acres

Glenford

“Our family stayed for an extended weekend in the spring. The cabin is situated in a lovely setting and offers trails on site. The workmanship of the reassembled 1830s log cabin was amazing. All the details were greatly appreciated. We enjoyed several bonfires and grilled over the wood fire with the newly added grill top. The grandkids had fun on the rope swings. The front porch is so large and inviting. The town of Somerset is nearby and had several great restaurants. Also close to Buckeye……

“From the moment the host answered questions we had, so pleasantly, before we arrived, we felt welcome. The first step through the entrance, the cleanliness, simplicity, decor, and convenience that was seen was impressive! That was just the beginning. The second floor was super clean and comfortable for resting at anytime of the day, the layout was conducive to families with children, especially older ones, that would enjoy lofty bunk beds in the room first to meet you, at the top of the……

“It was precisely a visit to Grandma’s house. From the back porch deck with new gas grill to the eclectic mix of cooking utensils and plates and glassware. Really enjoyed the display case with interesting objects and the wall art. We never found the tv controller to get local channels but did not need or want it. Not exactly a destination, but serves well as a good place to rest and recharge during multi day events in the Columbus area.”

“this property is infested with bugs that leave their dropping around every night, there was multiple problems with the property including broken furniture, no storage for luggage, nails sticking out of the floor, unsecured and broken tiles in the bathroom, Lights in the bathroom not working, kitchenette faucet wasnt attached to the sink, the front door didnt seal. “There is much about the property that needs works, especially outdoors. The railing and the decking at the front door are loose; the 'paths' to the yard and hot tub were wobble and crooked; the entire yard was covered in gravel at one point and was very unevern. We awakened our first day there to the tune of a weedwacker - at 8 clock in the morning; it would have taken hours to weed wack this entire uneven yard. He stopped when we asked him to, and was polite about it.”

“Our stay here was extremely disappointing and honestly stressful. From the beginning, the property did not feel safe, which we raised concerns about, but nothing was done to address it. During our stay, our truck was vandalized (egged), which only reinforced the lack of security in the area.To make matters worse, the host was not helpful when issues came up. Communication felt dismissive rather than supportive, especially when we were already uncomfortable. Instead of trying to make things……
