“We stayed in the Garden Cottage for a week and cannot recommend it for longer stays. While the property manager responded to our texts and generally sent maintenance within 24 hours, the property suffers from poor upkeep and temporary fixes. Our issues started at check-in when our entry code failed, and no one answered the phone, forcing us to communicate solely via text. Upon entry, the unit smelled strongly of marijuana, the bedroom closet door was broken, and a ceiling fan blade was hanging……

“Unfortunately we would not return to this house. We loved the proximity to beach and the lake view from the upstairs bedroom, and appreciated the upstairs AC unit. That was about all we were able to enjoy… the place was very dirty, dishes weren’t clean, throw blankets were not washed and had awful smells. “I loved this place with one important caveat. The bathroom floor is extremely slippery. Socks and dry floor? Bare feet and wet floor? You need to be careful, especially if you're older. I almost did the splits going to use the restroom. The shower is small and you can't keep the curtain in, so the floor will get a bit wet. For most floors this really isn't a big deal, but it's basically like ice. I only point this out because I do not want someone to actually get hurt without at least a bit of a……

“We loved the layout of this home. We had lots of room for 6 adults 3 kids and 3 dogs. It was great having an extra kitchen. We went in the winter and enjoyed GREAT ice fishing. Nice size Perch. Nice size yard and a nice neighborhood. Also plenty of parking, we had 3 vehicles and a snowmobile trailer. There is also great hiking and sledding hills nearby. Would come back again for our family winter get away. ”
