“This hotel was an absolute lifesaver for our trip. We had originally booked with another hotel chain down the road for a non smoking room, when we arrived it was APPARENT that we were not staying at the hotel due to the atmosphere and obvious mold & smoke in the room as our child is medically compromised. “The property itself is quite good—newly renovated facilities, a convenient location, and a nice free breakfast. It’s easy to see why it has a 9.0 rating and overall, it’s worth it. However, I was assigned a room right next to the ice machine and emergency exit. I checked in late at night and didn’t realize the potential for noise. “We had a very nice comfortable large suite. Everything was clean, the staff was friendly, and we were right next to the visitor center for colonial Williamsburg.”

“Horrible property but at $60 a night you get what you pay for. The beds were super uncomfortable. The carpet in my room hadn't been vacuumed. The air conditioner was so loud it had to be replaced. There were ants near the windows. The staff doesn't even stand up to greet you. I had to make noise for the guy to even look up from whatever he was doing. “I was required to pay an additional $50 for a non smoking room. The deposit was not indicated online. The non smoking room that I was given had a strong smell of smoke. I asked for another non smoking room and was charged additional money for that room. Since it was late, I went ahead and paid it. That room had a strong mold smell to it although it did seem to improve after the ac ran a few hours. The wifi would not connect. Staff were unable to help. “Quiet and comfortable, with everything you might need easily available (plenty of towels, blankets, etc; also soap, toilet paper, paper towel). We used this as a base for visiting Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. It worked perfectly. In the evenings, we saw deer, turkeys, and many squirrels. Fireflies too! It was a lovely mini-vacation for our family. Everyone enjoyed the variety of books and old National Geographic magazines in the evening. Wonderful!”
