“Lovely property. You need a car if going to old Matera. Grocery store close by. Pretty grounds and great pool (although like most Italian pools, not heated.) we found easy parking lots near the historic area so it is ok. The photos are deceiving because the spa whirlpool tub is not included - you have to pay 100 euro per couple to use those amenities. That should be made clear in the listing or they shouldn't show the photos. " Cave" hotel room is fun but only a window at door and in bathroom.……

“The location is very close to the Sassi, which was my main objective. The parking garage was also very close and convenient. Our room was fine, small shower but to be expected in Italy! All good. Now, let me tell you about the sweet host, so helpful! He set up breakfast for us, baked fresh croissants with jams and nutella, made wonderful coffee and offered yogurt, juice, Matera bread ( the best!) we were a group of 6 filling all of his rooms for the night. Perfect stay for us!”

“A restaurant is exactly downstairs of our room, so it was quite noisy in the night time from the guests sitting outside of restaurant. "The service was great. We parked at the parking lot recommended by the hotel, and there was a free shuttle that took us to the hotel. We stayed in a separate room, which had a bit of a damp smell. The room was about a 5-minute walk from the reception and the breakfast/spa area — it took a few time to remember the route. But getting lost in Matera is also a kind of romance."
