It is going through a remodel and rebranding. No pool. No business center no ice machine. Room looks good but over remodeled. New bed and paint but curtain valance inches from being pulled down by a child.

Ice machine didn't work on our floor. We had to move a bed to get access to a receptacle. Phone in the room but not plugged in and no where to plug it into. AC worked but the vent louvers were broken and rusty. Best I can say is that it was a place to sleep.

I was here for 2 nights and no complaints. Yes, there are renovations going on but they honestly didn’t affect me. Room was large and clean, staff were excellent. Easy to get to. I’d definitely stay here again.

Perhaps after the construction is finished. But not till then. Arrived lay to find dog $#!+ on the floor in the foyer and lobby. Attendant didn’t acknowledge it. Got a room that smelled of turpentine. Asked for another. Attendant said he couldn’t do it because I booked through Expedia. Finally got room change. No hangers in new room. Went to desk - no hangers he says. Lots of hangers in the terpentine room. I can’t take those - they’re for another guest he says. “Can I get you anything else” he says dripping in sarcasm. “We’ll see”, I said. Breakfast was egg like pucks and ham like pucks. Pool closed. Business center closed. Gym closed. Whatever.

The room darkening curtains were improperly hung and so they weren't effective. The shower never got warm enough to even create steam in a cool room. The room was not completely furnished so the only mirror is in the bathroom. Front desk staff worked hard to make a proper welcome, but their inexperience with the hotel computer system was apparent.

Property under construction! Property did not provide appropriate room that was booked with handicapped needs! No extra pillows as asked for and a first floor! Placed in a room that was still being renovated room totally unacceptable! Manager called nothing was done to fix problems and put in non handicap room and my guest with me has a prosthetic leg n needed a handicapped bathroom which was initially reserved! I will never ever stay at a Windgate again! Extremely upset and disappointed it was his birthday! Disgusted!

The ac was very dirty there was no microwave in the room, the bathroom was not well clean and the door handle fell off leaving us locked in the room for a while. The breakfast was very limited. The staff were very friendly and helpful

Renovations are underway, and there was construction materials lying around in multiple locations. Open utility doors, wooden crates in the middle of the lobby, etc. My room was clean, but details were left undone; such as a phone that wasn't plugged into the wall, (and it didn't work when I did plug it in) and a clock on the night stand that was unplugged. Though I was given a wifi code at check-in, the wifi was not working. I texted the front desk and was told that I'd have come down to the lobby to use the wifi. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, all but one of the staff I met at the front desk was dressed very unprofessionally. (Inside out t-shirt, pink hoodie) They could have said when I first checked in; "We're sorry about the construction materials, we're under renovation." Those words were never said. When I checked out, the gentleman at the desk didn't even ask "how was your stay"? He somewhat reluctantly printed me a receipt and went on doing something else, barely acknowledging my existence as I exited the hotel. I have a conference every year in this town, I won't come to Wingate again.
