“The owner has spared no expense on renovations. The property has been expertly redone by an interior designer using very high end materials. The sound proofing between rooms is amazingly good. The neighbourhood is lovely and very quiet. The owner has strict rules in the house. While I can totally respect that, it felt as if we weren’t fully welcome. Entirely the owner’s right to set as many rules as they want. As a vacation rental owner myself, I’m more focussed on the guest……

“I had a worry that the cottage might be a little small but we had loads of room due to the layout being over three floors. The decor was smart and we had everythign we needed. It was very hot the day we arrived so it was particularly good to have the lounge in the basement. A few little niggles, none of them dealbreakers. There was a lot of noise from the pub at the back on Saturday night, which was annoying. While everything was very clean, the towels smelled a little musty. Parking was a……

“The house is nothing special but the bed was comfortable to sleep in and it was in the location we needed to visit family. The kitchen smelled like something was rotting, I think the bins hadn't been disposed of properly before we arrived. There also weren't any towels even though the advert says there will be. It's an okay place to stay as long as you're not expecting luxury.”

“A perfectly small cottage finished to a very high standard. Top notch fittings through, beds, pillows etc all of a very high standard. A perfect base to explore that area although keighley itself is not that nice. Secure parking an added bonus. Just be aware that there is a VERY busy bus garage just meters away so you will need to sleep with your windows closed! The first night we were awoke at 5.30 with the buses all leaving! The double glazing is excellent so with the windows shut……
