“The hotel is really old, which probably explains the poor soundproofing. The bedding was also super uncomfortable, so I didn’t sleep well at all. Worse, I woke up with red rashes all over my body. Compared to other hotels nearby, this place is just not worth the price. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it. ”

“Beautiful place to stay. I will be staying at the Lokal again. Short walk to beach, stores, restaurants....perfect location. If we needed anything, just a text away. Place was clean and I especially loved the heated pool. Nice balcony with table and chairs. Washer and dryer was a plus. We stayed with 5 people and having two bathrooms was a dream come true:) Thank you for a nice time away. ”

“I was thoroughly happy with the Chalfonte Hotel (though I actually stayed in the "Southern Quarters," which is next door as a sort of add-on to the original). The accommodations were built in 1876, so of course the rooms are smaller than people are used to now, the hotel doesn't have elevators, and travelers can hear things go bump in the night. The room still had old marble-topped desks! Check-in was easy. The "breakfast room" was pleasant. I was happily surprised to discover that parking……
