“The only complaint I have was with the odor from nearby farms. It wasn’t noticeable in the hotel. Other than that, the room, pool, and hotel were nice and clean. The breakfast selection was great and nice variety to pick from.”

“Excellent stay. Been here multiple times. Never a problem. Comfy bed. Quiet room. Great breakfast.”

“A very comfortable room, amenities, and service. We can only say "if you are looking to be served well and enjoy your stay, stay at the Sauder Inn and you will not regret it".”

“There was a fitted sheet over the mattress, but no upper sheet for over your body. There was only a bedding cover that likely doesn't get laundered. There were no pillow cases over the pillows. The so called hot water was barely warm.”

“Low budget choice that isn’t fit for most travelers. Rooms are old and cosmetic upgrades are well beyond needed. Poor lighting in room and had no access to turn heat on. This place can be a good choice if trying to save $, but be prepared to rough it!!”

“It was a clean and fairly adequate motel except for the mattresses and other furniture. Out of three beds in our room, one was adequate and the other two were worn out and visibly sunken. There weren’t many amenities (ice, front desk, etc) but the lack of comfortable furnishings in the room - sunken beds, only a card table and three folding chairs, no place to put suitcases to open them, etc., made this property a negative for me.”

“Such a beautiful stay and the host was amazing!”

“Room was clean and comfortable. Staff are not on site all the time, but are very friendly and responsive through text and phone. A local market has most essentials you may need nearby, and there are a few restaurants around the area with good food.”

“Super cute country setting! I absolutely loved all the beautiful flowers. Our room had a little wooden patio with a couple rocking chairs to enjoy the amazing sunset ”

“This property was fine overall and we had an enjoyable trip. I did appreciate that the code is changed to get into the house and the WiFi password was changed between guests. We stay in VRBO in order to cook vs eat out all the time. This kitchen did not have any mixing bowls and we had to go buy our own. There was nothing to mix pancakes in, a salad, marinate meat, ect which was incredibly frustrating. There is a good supply of plates, glasses, silverware, pots and pans. There were two smaller……

“Great place. Very clean. It felt brand new. All staples you need plus there were snacks, coffee and waters. The po d out back is great for fishing! It was a surprise that the guest house is attached to the main house. However, we never saw or heard anything that impacted our time here. The location is very close to Hillsdale College. There are a handful of places to eat and trails arboretum nearby. 30 min from IMS.”

“Such a sweet little place”

“This was an sold motel converted to a VRBO. The room was nicely furnished as it had been updated with new flooring and trim. The heater worked well, as it was a bit chilly outside yet this Spring. The bed was comfortable and slept well. The price was very good for what we needed. ”
