Advertised as one thing (apparently Hotels.com won’t let me say what, so I have had to re word my initial complaint), when I checked in, I was given something completely different. “Unfortunately the place is tied and old. The cooker/oven is not fit for purpose. You should not have to buy a box of matches and stick your upper body in to light it, it’s not safe. The bathroom is unpleasant at best. No amenities, no toilet paper, and kitchen is barely usable, no real utensils or useful pans. I would not stay again, it really does not meet minimum standards.”

“The room itself was decent and had everything I needed, but the atmosphere felt off, a faint stale smell, like it hadn’t been opened up for a while. The real shocker, though, was the enormous mural of a man’s face directly opposite the bed. It’s so big that when I woke up in the middle of the night, I genuinely jumped. It felt uncomfortable having it stare right at me. Other details like the amenities and Wi‑Fi were fine, but that mural definitely stole the show for all the wrong reasons.”
