I really enjoyed our stay at Villa Sphendone Suites. Our host, Seyfullah, was very friendly and helpful. There was traditional Turkish breakfast each day that was filling and light at the same time. Perfect way to start the day. I recommend this quaint boutique style hotel and would definitely stay there again. It's shady so close to do many things: The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Hippodrome, the Basilica Cisterna, walkable to the Grand Bazaar and the Spice Bazaar, the ferries, etc.

The hosts are really nice but the property needs to be improved. The floor was coming off in places. Some of the drawers were broken. There were no soaps or shampoo on the room when we arrived. We had to ask for them but we didn't get them on time for our first shower. After travelling for 24 hrs it want funto shower without soap or shampoo. The room was big though and it was in an excellent location. Also make sure you don't get stuck outside the hotel. The hosts don't respond if you ring the doorbell. So overall it was an ok experience.

was a good location with everything near it could do with a refurbishment a further was old breakfast was very simple no variety bathroom was very cold as radiator was broken and couldn't use jetted bath as it didn't have the sink plug you could only get hol of someone in the morning breakfast hours and Deniz was only English speaker there and you call him on the phone.

O proprietário com quem tratei estava em procedimento hospitalar durante minha estadia. Pessoa muito cordata e educada. O lugar precisa urgente de renovação e manutenção. Problemas no aquecimento, banheiro entupido. Falta de limpeza durante a estadia. Achamos o apartamento limpo quando chegamos. Fomos recebidas com gentileza mas tivemos que sair dias antes do período da hospedagem estar concluído, não dava para ficar lá.

We really have a very good time in this suite, we can have good time rest while traveling just like home. Here we would like to thank Deniz, his care and hospitality from the first day we met him to the last day he arranged a car to send us to airport. We enjoyed very much of our daily conversation with him. We also would like to thank Sweet who prepared delicious meal for us every morning, her kindness, her diligent and her bright smile touch us. Thank you, thank you all to make our Istanbul trip be special and wonderful! Also the location is very convenient to access to many sites, mostly are walkable distance.

Great boutique hotel with very friendly owners who can tell you all about Istanbul. Room is authentic with stylish furniture. Bed sleeps great. Breakfast super!

We lucked out when we checked in this beautiful villa. The rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. The breakfast had a lot of variety. Deniz, the host was incredible. He went above and beyond with his hospitality - recommending all the must sees on the map to personally showing us around to the Princes Islands, evenings spent playing backgammon and learning all about Turkish culture. We were absolutely gutted that we didn't spend more time at the place. I would go back to Istanbul just to spend time with Deniz, the host.

Great Location and a lovely host

We chose this place due to location for old town which is excellent. It is walking distance from all the major attractions in old istanbul and we did not need to use a taxi once. It is a traditional house converted into a hotel and so it is comfortable, quiet and clean. Deniz the owner was a pleasure to meet. He is very helpful, polite and full of knowedge with regards attractions and restaraunts etc. Breakfast is basic but everything you need to get your day started. The AC kept the room cool which was bery useful in mid August. The rooms are traditional and clean as opposed to modern and lush but they are large and very accomodating. If wtaying in istanbul for a few days and need a good location for the old town I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Great stay

As soon as i arrived Dennis the manager welcomed me in a friendly manner , upgraded my room and advised me about istanbul . The rooms are decorated in a "shabby chic" style with interesting antique pieces . Room was lovely clean and quiet with a lovely comfortable 4 poster bed . Miss Tanya the Breakfast lady was very friendly and helpful . I liked it so much i stayed an extra night ! Thank you Dennis and Miss Tanya !

Köpeğimle seyahat ettiğim için çok seçeneğim olmuyor ve biraz mecburen burayı seçmiştim. Ama ailecek hayran kaldık, çok memnun ayrıldık. Konum olarak çok güzel yerde ( amacınız seyahat ise ) , odalar antika dükkanı gibi hoş bir tarzda ve geniş, konforlu. odada duş malzemelerinden, su ısıtıcı ve kahveye kadar herşey vardı. görevli hanımefendi güleryüzü ile bizi sanki evinde misafir etmiş gibi hissetirdi. bundan sonra başka otel aramaya gerek yok . tek sıkıntı belki otopark olabilir ama zaten bu mahallede bunu beklemek hata olur

Wonderful... Excellent geographic situation, the service was excellent, thanks to Mr Maksoud who was helpful and to Mr Denis who gave us an excellent presentation of the area and its history. He gave us lots of tips and good plans for our visit. I recommend it.

Das für uns reservierte Zimmer war nicht für vier Personen geeignet obwohl ich vorab in einer Mail den Chef zusätzlich informiert habe. Schimmel gab es im Badezimmer und der Safe war defekt ( in beiden Zimmern). Frühstück wurde im Büro serviert , während der Chef lautstark telefonierte. Er meinte das würde den Gäste so gefallen, weil es einer familiären Atmosphäre entspräche. Es gab kein separaten Frühstücksraum! Nachdem wir uns mehrmals beschwert haben, konnten wir in ein größeres Zimmer umziehen, aber erst nach der zweiten Nacht. Personal war freundlich. Das zweite Zimmer gut und so wie wir das bei der Buchung erwartet haben.
