“Hervorragende Lage für Wanderausflüge, jedoch nicht am Wochenende, da völlig überlaufen durch Badegäste am Upper Lake und Wandertourismus. (Viele Busse reisen an, Stau zur Hotel Zufahrtsstraße). Positiv ist der kostenfreie Gästeparkplatz beim Hotel. Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, jedoch könnte dem Hotel eine Auffrischung gut tun, nicht alles funktioniert mehr einwandfrei. Das Frühstück ist sehr regional gehalten, gewöhnungsbedürftig und bietet keinerlei Abwechslung. Hauptsächlich……

“We were really looking forward to our two night stay at Clontarf Castle but were disappointed with our room. It was on the ground floor, with people sitting and eating outside our bedroom window and noise above until late. It was definitely not luxurious in any way. Breakfast was ok but on the second morning we found many things had already gone and not been replaced. However my husband enjoyed his freshly cooked omelette. “Wonderful historic property, well maintained and being updated as we were there. While not being air conditioned was understood, was surprised at how hot the room got - small sea facing window didn’t really allow the room to cool off even though days were only 24 C and nights were down to 15-18 C. Lovely location - both the hotel location and the Sutton/Howth area.”

“Overall, we had a great stay at this property. The location was excellent, and the complimentary breakfast was a big plus. Parking was free. We chose this hotel because we wanted to avoid driving into Dublin, paying for city parking, and spending extra on breakfast. The nearest Luas tram station was about a 15-minute walk away, or a 10-minute Uber ride for around €12. This made getting into the city both convenient and cost-effective. “We have just stayed at the Roxford Lodge Hotel in their Executive Room. All we can say is wow!! What an amazing room which we thought was great value for money. We had our own jacuzzi and even a sauna!! We used these every day and a morning Sauna was a great start to our day ahead. The bed in the room is the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in! We did not wake up even once. Only time we were woke up was from the morning light streaming through the skylights, but we had not realised these……
