“The property is situated in a peninsula in Kalutara on a road with almost no traffic, a pleasant surprise in such a busy (and wonderful) city. The beach is lovely, but not swimmable because of strong currents. The room was large and bright. The washroom was clean, and the shower was awesome. It was roomy and had a shower head on the ceiling from which a cascade of water came down. It was great! The bed was very comfortable and had a unique and very effective custom designed mosquito net that……

“Loved this property. The reception was so friendly and welcoming. The pool is lovely. The food and drinks (aside from one mistake) was good and reasonably priced. We often had the beach to ourselves. A few things, such as the gym and probably do with a bit of an update/clean but it was the end of the season and there were very few people to use it. The TV was good for English speakers, should you want news or movies. The hair dryer and mirror were outside of the shower and toilet area,……

“Natscha and her assistant Ajit run this wonderful small guesthouse. If you are looking for an authentic, local experience then stay here. But, it is not that easy to get to, The road to the bungalow is largely unpaved and steep but, for us, that was all part of the attraction. The surroundings are beautiful - lush green jungle, beautiful rice paddies, local temples etc. But, if you don't have your own vehicle then it is not possible to get out at night. The cuisine is local and very good.……
