“We stayed here for 2 nights on our way back north. The hotel is lovely and the rooms very comfortable, the restaurant was closed whilst we were there but the bar serves a nice selection without needing to go out. The hotel is ideally positioned to visit Annecy or do what we did and visit Mont Revard with outstanding views of the lake right next to the hotel, the surrounding countryside is beautiful.
The breakfast buffet is good with enough choice to fill you up and there’s coffee available in……
“I have stayed in many high end hotels throughout the world and I have to say that this experience was superb from start to finish. Staff could not have been more professional and helpful. The room was superb and the setting was also great. All rooms are individually designed and the building dates back to the 15th century, so is characterful in many regards. If you're in Chambéry and you want a really good place to stay, I would strongly recommend this hotel.”
“There is a dreadful smell of raw sewage in the car park. There was a dead pigeon there when we stayed too - nobody cleaned it away for the five days of our visit. The entire lobby stinks of chlorine coming from the spa. The cleaners tried to clean our room at 8.30am, in what must be categorised as a holiday, not a business, hotel.
But far, far worse than all of this was the bed. It was basically a plank. So hard that both my wife and I could barely sleep, and I was hobbling around with back……
