The place hosting the well-equipped kitchen is the oldest unit of the farmhouse and very charming. All walls of the apartment are painted in the tradition with warm colors and all furniture is painted in the Provence style. Fabrics are from “Les Olivades”, a very famous Provençal factory from Tarascon. The large living/dining room with a table for 6 people is the masterpiece of Marius with its panoramic view and its large fireplace. There are three sleeping rooms of which two preserved the proportions of the ancient times (one with a double bed and one with two single beds) and one is mansard-roofed (can be use with a double or two single beds). There are two private terraces: one lies at the shade of a typical Provençal pergola furnished with a wrought iron table for 6 persons. It overlooks the peaceful neighborhood on one hand and a part of the swimming-pool on the other. The other is adjacent to the kitchen and is furnished with a comfortable lounge. Apartment Marius as the other three units has full access to the pool, the parking and the garden. MAS DU GALANTIN - A 16th century Vineyard Farm (Mas Provençal), not far from the superb medieval village of Le Castellet, at 10 minutes driving distance from Bandol and the beaches: charm and authenticity in the homeland of novel writer and film maker Marcel Pagnol. We offer you to share the unique atmosphere left by our ancestors in 3 charming Provence style apartments and a historical cottage for 2-8 persons. All 4 carry names of characters from Pagnol’s “Trilogie Marseillaise” and each of them has its own personality. They all have private shaded terraces equipped with a barbecue or a plancha grill and private entrances. They have in common: a large swimming pool (11 x 5,5 m) on a property of 2.500 sqm facing the vineyards, our house mountain "Gros Cerveau" and a large private parking. They are all equipped with free wireless internet. A dream of peaceful and untouched surroundings, where the easiness of living and the famous «Provençal accent» cherished by Marcel Pagnol himself persist. Here, the vineyards of the world-famous Bandol and the bronze colored olive-trees are deployed as far as the eye can see. Mas du Galantin was first mentioned in the official books in the year 1550\. It has been extended subsequently over the centuries and reached its actual size in 1897\. Historically the property served as vineyard farm to the vine producing domain. It was only in the beginning of the nineteen sixties that both were sold to separate owners and became “Mas du Galantin” (the historical house) and “Domaine Le Galantin” (the vineyard). We had the chance to become the happy owners of the Mas in 2003\. When visiting the first time, we fell in love with the situation, the historic building and felt very good vibes at the property. We undertook over the years a series of renovations and created the parking and the garden. We created the 3 apartments in the main house – César (145 sqm, sleeping 8), Marius (120 sqm, sleeping 6) and Fanny (90 sqm, sleeping 4) were born. We transformed the cottage at the pool into a cozy apartment – the birth of Panisse (30 sqm, sleeping 4) Our guests regularly confirm our impression of our first visit – the good vibes at Mas du Galantin. They appreciate the multi-family environment. Many times, we observe children making new friends during their stay at Mas du Galantin and parents having a good time together during their holidays. Die eingestellten Fotos entsprechen nicht dem angetroffenen Zustand der Wohnung. Auch die Möblierung im Wohnzimmer war anders als auf den Bildern zu sehen. In der Küche fanden wir einen verschmutzten, mit Essensresten verschmierten Geschirrständer vor. Die Tischdecke im Wohnzimmer war verklebt. In der Küche und den übrigen Räumen gab es viele Spinnweben. In der ganzen Wohnung roch es muffig. Wir hatten die Wohnung vergangenen September gebucht und bis jetzt darauf gehofft, wenigstens einen Teil der Mietsumme vom Vermieter zurückzubekommen. Vergebens. Wir bekamen nicht einmal die Reinigungskosten erstattet. Eine solche Enttäuschung haben wir noch nicht erlebt. Bei den anderen Wohnungen des Vermieters finden sich z.T. ähnliche Bewertungen. Das haben wir erst im Nachhinein gesehen. Der Vollständigkeit halber: Von außen sind Haus und Anlage wirklich schön: ein toller Garten, schöne Sitzmöglichkeiten und Pool. Wir fanden zur Begrüßung eine saubere Wohnung Marius und eine Flasche Rosé vor. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung Marius ist sehr gut, besonders die zwei Kühlschränke und ein grosser Gefrierbereich! Es gibt zwar keine Klimaanlage, dafür genügend Ventilatoren. Der Pool ist traumhaft, hier können Kinder auch ohne Vorschriften einfach Mal toben, auch mit Luftmatratze oder Schnorchel. Die kleine Terrasse draussen hat inzwischen zwei kleine Outdoorcouches ( nicht nur Liegen, wie auf dem Foto), sehr angenehm. Der Essbereich draussen mit Grill ist super. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter ist sehr gut, unkompliziert und bei Anfragen gibt es eine schnelle Reaktion, ein Hausmeister hilft vor Ort weiter. WLan funktioniert gut. Im benachbarten Weingut einkaufen, auf den Märkten bummeln, Bandol oder das nette Städtchen Castellet, alles in wenigen Autominuten erreichbar. Der 20 min entfernte Sandstrand in St. Cyr hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Ein toller Urlaub und die beste Unterkunft, die wir bisher an der Cote d'Azur hatten. Die Ausstattung von Wohnung Marius ist ausgesprochen gut (2 große Kühlschränke, Kaffeemaschinen, Spül- und Waschmaschine, Weber Gas-Grill, Flatscreen mit deutschem Programm, umfangreiche Info-Mappe mit Ausflugstipps, etc.) und geschmackvoll. Den Pool sowie die beiden Terrassen haben wir gerne zum Entspannen genutzt. Der Vermieter war stets erreichbar und hat schnell reagiert. May 30, 2016 #### Marius - un petit coin de paradis sous le ciel bleu Arrivant tard le soir, pour un court séjour pendant les congés de Pentecôte, nous redoutions de ne pas trouver facilement l'adresse, mais les indications de Karyn et Tom étaient très précises. Une bouteille de rosé (Bandol, évidemment) nous attendait dans le salon - petite attention bien appréciée après la route. Les chambres sont bien équipées et fonctionnelles, et les matelas très confortables, rendant les nuits paisibles et reposantes. Le salon / salle à manger, aux belles proportions, baigne dans la lumière et invite à la détente, d'autant que différents ouvrages, où les auteurs provençaux sont bien représentés, sont à disposition dans la bibliothèque. La cuisine est généreusement équipée et nous avons même noté la présence de deux frigidaires-congélateurs! Il n'y a qu'une salle de bain, mais cette dernière offre suffisamment de rangement pour la cohabitation de 6 personnes. Côté jardin: la grande piscine, sécurisée par 2 alarmes, très bien entretenue et partagée avec les locations Fanny et César, est très agréable, même si elle était encore un peu fraiche en ce début de mois de mai! Nous avons particulièrement apprécié, en ces jours de mistral, le fait qu'elle soit abritée du vent. Enfin, la tonnelle adjacente à l'appartement offre une ombre bienvenue pour les déjeuners ou les dîners. Pour finir, un classeur dans le salon recueille suggestions d'excursions, marchés provençaux, itinéraires de randonnées (le sentier littoral, tout proche, est de toute beauté) et autres détails pratiques facilitant le séjour. La région est belle, très belle même, donc il nous a été facile de nous occuper! A noter que le mas dispose du WIFI, disponible dans toutes les pièces, ce qui pour nous, était un atout. Nous terminerons cette appréciation en remerciant les propriétaires pour leur accueil chaleureux: nous nous sommes sentis de suite à la maison. Chaque chose est à sa place, rien ne manque... on voit bien que derrière cette apparente simplicité, les choses ont été pensées jusque dans leurs moindres détails. Jan 7, 2015 #### Vacanza Perfetta Eravamo 3 famiglie di amici per un totale di 9 persone. Avevamo prenotato l'appartamento Cesar per poter stare tutti insieme. Purtroppo, a causa di un loro disguido questo non è stato possibile. Ci sono stati assegnati quindi 2 appartamenti: Il Marius e il Fanny che comunque si trovano nella stessa struttura e che per noi sono stati una più che ottima soluzione. Entrambi gli appartamenti sono molto spaziosi, puliti e completi di qualsiasi necessità. Del Fanny abbiamo utilizzato solo il bagno ed una camera da letto e solo per andarci a dormire in quanto l' appartamento Marius è sufficientemente grande da poterci ospitare tutti. Il grande salone/soggiorno del Marius è stato il cuore della casa con il suo grande e ben funzionante camino. Molto pratica la cucina e ben accessoriata. Splendida la mansarda che hanno occupato i nostri 3 bambini. L'intera proprietà è splendidamente tenuta ed arredata con finiture di pregio. La Signora Vermast è stata molto gentile e carina e ci ha accontentato in tutte le nostre richieste. Nei 5 giorni passati in Provenza abbiamo visitato La route de Cretes, Les Calanques di Cassis (splendida la camminata fino a D'En Vau), Roussillon e Rustrel con i sentieri dell' Ocra, Aix En Provence, Avignone, Nizza e La Corniche de L' Esterel. Consiglio vivamente questa proprietà che ci ha permesso di rilassarci al meglio dopo le nostre escursioni e consiglio anche una visita della provenza nel periodo invernale. ##### Luana F. Nov 2, 2014 #### Charme et détente Nous avons passé une superbe semaine avec nos deux enfants dans ce joli mas rénové datant du 16e siècle. L'appartement 'Marius' est fonctionnel, très spacieux et bien équipé (TV, machine à vaisselle, lave linge, fer à repasser, barbecue,...). La piscine sécurisée est grande et très bien entretenue. Nous avons adoré nous y rafraîchir après une journée d'excursion. Le Castellet, joli village médiéval en vaut la peine d'être visité, ainsi que Cassis avec ses splendides calanques... Mais il y a plein d'autres jolis coins à découvrir et les propriétaires ont été à notre écoute pour nous donner de bons conseils concernant visites, excursions, promenades, restaurants.... Ils ont également élaboré un large dossier dans lequel on peut trouver de nombreuses informations sur cette belle région et ses alentours. Nous avons également apprécié les petites attentions de la part des propriétaires (bouteille de vin et capsules pour machine à café comme geste de bienvenue :)). Nous avons été ravis de cette charmante propriété située au calme et dans la verdure, et pourtant pas loin des plages de Bandol et Sanary (environ 10 minutes en voiture). Tout y a été réuni pour passer d'agréables moments de détente et nous pouvons que recommander cette location pour de magnifiques vacances en famille. Famille Goetz ##### Corinne T.
