Welcome to 8 Lighthouse Way! Located in the highly sought after Cape Shores Community on Lewes Beach between the ferry terminal and Cape Henlopen State Park.
On the ground floor you will find access to a newly installed 1,000 lb capacity elevator to use for your convenience. This house has a reverse living layout with four bedrooms located on the second floor. There are two primary bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms that include jetted tubs, showers, and heated tile flooring. On the third floor you will find a 5th bedroom with attached hallway bathroom, an expansive open-concept kitchen and dining area, along with a family room to accommodate large family gatherings. Included on this level is a fully enclosed sunroom with a murphy bed with memory foam mattress and porch access. This house is perfectly designed for multi-generational family vacations; plenty of space to congregate here for dinners, movies, and games, and with wrap around porches on second and third floors that allow you to sneak away for a quite moment to yourself.
There is a large 2+ car garage with plenty of space to store your beach gear and bikes. The driveway can accommodate up to 4 other cars and two off street parking tags are included with your stay. Also located in the garage is a full refrigerator/freezer. Eight beach chairs, a beach cart, and fishing pier wagon are provided for your use. A Big Green Egg charcoal grill as well as Webber gas grill is provided in the back yard along with an outdoor shower.
8 Lighthouse Way is a 4 minute walk to the closest Cape Shores beach entrance point. Located in a cul-de-sac near the eastern most neighborhood entrance, you have easy access to Cape Henlopen which your family can explore by foot, car, or bike. Enjoy all the park has to offer: drive-on fishing beach, McBride Bath House and ocean access, the nature center and bike barn, playground, biking and hiking paths, and Fort Miles Museum.
A pack-n-play and high chair are provided for your use. Third floor has a gas fireplace and wood burning stove; hairdryers are located in each bathroom. Wi-Fi, printer, and flat screen smart TV’s with YouTube TV subscription.
This property is not pet friendly. Guests must choose to purchase a $70 Vacation Rental Damage Insurance policy covering $3,000.00 in accidental damage, or pay a refundable security deposit of $2,000.00. Policies of a lesser amount are not acceptable. This amount will not be reflected in the quote amount on VRBO.
The property must be occupied by the Guest signing the Lodging Agreement, and all occupants of the Property shall be supervised by the Guest for the entire rental period. The Guest signing the Lodging Agreement must be at least 25 years of age and must occupy the Property for the entire rental period. If the party is made up of unrelated individuals (a group rental), ALL guests occupying the property must be at least 25 years of age.
We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover Credit Cards (subject to a 2.75% Convenience Fee). We also accept E-Checks with no fees, as well as personal checks. Final payments are due 30 days prior to your check-in date. NOTE: Any payments within 30-days of arrival require to be in certified funds or by credit card (subject to a 2.75% Convenience Fee).
All guests must supply their own sheets, towels and beach towels or OPT in for our linen rental package
VRBO BOOKINGS: This property is hosted by the management company noted as Owner on VRBO. After booking the property you will be charged a booking fee by VRBO. ALL other fees and the rental amount will be charged by the management company and paid to the management company. Once you have booked you will be contacted by the management company and sent a Lodging Agreement that must be signed. Apart from Damage Protection, all fees associated with the booking are displayed in the VRBO booking.
