"You can check in yourself or do it at the reception when you arrive. Eliassen Rorbuer has a really big area, with its own restaurant and a bakery (which opens in June), and private saunas you can book for a fee. The place feels cozy and traditional with all the wooden decor. I booked the Waterfront Superior One-Bedroom Cottage. While it's not super spacious, the kitchen has everything you need, just bring your own seasonings. The bathroom is clean and warm, and they have a smaller hot water tank to be eco-friendly, so if two of you are showering, try to wrap it up in about 40 mins. The outdoor seating area isn't a terrace, you have to go inside to get to it. If it snows a lot, the skylight can get covered and you might not see the sky. I stayed for two nights, on the first night, the skylight was completely covered with snow, so we had to go outside to catch the Aurora . But on the second night, after some rain melted the snow, we could enjoy the Aurora from both inside and out. "

"The check-in arrangements were clear. Even though it was a late check-in when the staff were not on duty, a simple check-in was still arranged. The place was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped, though you’ll need to bring your own seasonings. The environment was peaceful, and the views were impeccable. It's also just a 15-20 minute drive to the famous Haukland Beach."
