“Overall a great stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfasts. Hotel is a little tired, but rooms clean and bed comfortable. Location perfect for Aldeburgh town and beachfront. Parking is free at the hotel or on the roads outside. ”

“Overall a good stay. Staff were friendly and efficient . Room was cofortable although the carpet had some threadbare spots. Furniture was very outdated and could do with a refresh. Shower controls were very temperamentle trying to get a consistent temperature. There was not a toilet cleaning brush in the bathroom. The price was reasonable considering these minor faults. ”

That said the hotel is lovely, comfortable with lots of lively places to sit and read. The food is excellent - fantastic meal three courses for 33 pounds and well worth it. “The Hayloft is a lovely property. It is very stylishly appointed - an extremely comfortable bed, fab modern bathroom and a small kitchen area for preparing breakfast. It’s very well located for visiting the Suffolk coast. Wickham Market has a a decent sized supermarket for provisions, a really good fish and chip shop and the Bengal Indian Restaurant was one of the best we have eaten at. Book a cab in advance, as many cab “companies” are just a single driver and waits can be long when it’s busy. Host offers a variety of cereal in the morning.
