It was good value. The property is managed by a couple that lives on property and the wife is very helpful. The phone number for the hotel goes directly to their cell phones so you need to get lucky to reach one of them. They did clean the room daily and there are many restaurants within walking distance and a grocery store less than a mile away.

To be clear, I'm rating this hotel based on its price of $80/night. Room was fresh and had no strong cleaning solution smell like we often find when budget hoteling. Nothing fancy but a comfortable bed and clean shower. We definitely enjoyed Big Joe serving up drinks at the adjacent Cantina and regret we didn't arrive early enough for food (kitchen closed at 9pm) Dislike: there are some long term residents and whoever was in the room above us was up all night with thumping and dragging noises. When the A/C was running full it did drown out the noises but no setting kept the A/C running constantly. This is NOT a slight on the motel; you can have a noisy neighbor even in an expensive hotel.
