Staying at this home was very pleasant. We had 8 ppl and all were very comfortable. The beds are wonderful. A huge problem is the road leading up to/from the house. It is horrible - full of ruts and holes. We had to walk the wedding cake up parts of it because we were too afraid to have it in the car. Also as stated by another reviewer Stink Bugs were a problem but only in one of the bedrooms and I brought spray and was able to control them. Except for the road this was a lovely place to spend time. Wish we had had more time to take advantage of the outdoors.
This property doesn't look like much from the outside and the driveway makes you wonder if you've got the right spot - but, this house was amazing! It is really beautiful, clean and well maintained!! We were very fortunate to find this at the last minute!!
It's a lovely house that looks just like the pictures you see. That said, I wanted to write this review to help others make a decision and share the details I'd want if I were looking to book it for a trip. Again, it looks just like an HGTV remodel on the inside, but there were a few hiccups. One of the main reasons I booked the property was the hot tub--but because it's plugged into 110V instead of 220V, the hot tub never reached "hot" the entire time we were there, so we were unable to use it. It's tough to tell from the pictures at night, but the entire fire pit area is surrounded by red clay--likely because this property seems to be still underway in terms of finishing touches. There are also two additional cabins being built fairly close by--one one each side. We're no strangers to country living, and don't mind the usual bugs and creatures that come with it--but this property is infested with stink bugs and ladybugs. The ladybugs are a bit easier to take, but there were stink bugs everywhere--landing on us as we watched TV, landing on our toothbrushes and dinners and literally everywhere we turned. I just unpacked my suitcase and found so many dead ones at the bottom. It seemed to exceed the normal "we're in the country, so get over it" level, and by the end it was just a lot to take. The last thing I'd say is that the property seemed a bit overpriced, especially with a 10 a.m. checkout on the last day. All in all though, it was a lovely house.
