2/10 Terrible

The host seemed friendly and even offered to escort me to the house, which I initially appreciated. Once we began the drive, I realized why. The property is located on top of a mountain, about 1,600 ft above sea level, something never mentioned in the listing. The road to get there was extremely dangerous—narrow one-lane stretches intended for two cars, very few guardrails, and almost no streetlights as you climbed higher. Driving it with my teenage daughters in the car was terrifying, and anyone uncomfortable with heights should be warned. The home itself was large and looked as pictured, but conditions made it difficult to enjoy. The winds were so strong (gusts around 20 mph) that we couldn’t use the infinity pool. The main living space had no adequate AC and felt like a sauna during the day, and we found flies in the kitchen upon arrival.I had intended to go back and forth to see family, but the thought of making that dangerous drive daily was not an option. After just one night, I decided to leave and rebooked another apartment in the city, which was perfect. While the host initially agreed to refund 800, they never followed through and stopped responding. This listing is very misleading. Families should know the property is extremely remote, the access road is treacherous, and basic comfort inside the home is lacking.
