We got a double queen nonsmoking room, it did not look like the listed pictures and the entire floor smelled of years of smoke. The room was not unclean either, just smelled poorly. The beds were not comfortable and were very loud when moved on. The pool was fine, but the chlorine content was very high. I did not get in the pool but my eyes and nose were burning from sitting near it, but again, not unclean. There is no elevators so lugging up the steps to rooms is inconvenient. They need cleaning! Yes scale build up is difficult to address but needs to be done. Asking about safety - there is a poster on a telephone pole in parking lot asking is you've seen that missing person. So not sure about safety. Positives - breakfast was good without a wait. Provide fresh towels or room clean up but only upon request. Looked a little run down but breakfast was awesome and the beds were so comfortable you sleep like a baby. Sheets are soft and not rough.
