“The view of the boats coming and going from the Marina is something you don’t get easily. Lots of wildlife around. Room was big, shower big, good a/c. Great hosts. ”

“This hotel is not a 5-star experience. The pool is at best uninviting, it’s very tired and not really usable. The room smelt of bleach on arrival although that did fade over the few days we were there. The staff were friendly and the spa was great, but the concierge service (via WhatsApp) didn’t really work as it wasn’t responsive enough. The room design leaves a lot to be desired. It’s ok, but not 5-star. ”

“We enjoyed our stay! This hotel lived up to the reviews and photos. Rooms were basic and very clean. The pool was nice, surrounded by lovely plants and flowers. The hotel itself seems new and also very clean. The design throughout the hotel was cohesive and nice. The location was perfect - just a short walk off the main road and right by a bus stop. “We had an excellent stay at Costa Verde. Our room was absolutely stunning with a very large balcony and large windows overlooking the ocean. We could hear the ocean waves and every morning we got up at 5:30 in the morning to listen to the birds and enjoy the sunrise. The family suite that we had was clean and beds were very comfortable, and the costa verde grounds had several very nice restaurants with free shuttle transportation offered to the restaurants because of the fact that the property……

“Just got back from a stay at Shana. Both the property and staff were fantastic. They went out of their way to help us… with things related to coming and going, setting up outings for the day that kind of thing. They are responsive to questions asked over the net/expedia which is something other places are not. Much appreciated. Also much appreciated is their handling of our late check in and check out. The hotel is on a fairly steep hill, so bear that in mind if mobility impaired… that going……

“Lovely hotel with friendly staff. You are so close to Manuel Antonio park and the beach with a good choice or bars and restaurants. La Vela Boutique has a small pool which is not busy so getting a sunbed in the afternoon isn’t a problem. Big shout out to the pizza chef who managed to prepare and cook 2 superb pizzas during a power cut under the torchlight of an iPhone. A great place to stay..”
