1st time visit and can’t fault this hotel. Excellent service from all within the establishment. Made to feel very welcome and staff were very accommodating. Ate at the restaurant and food was fabulous for dinner & breakfast

Great food and staff

We booked here for it's easy drive to Dumfries House. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant and bar are nice informal and relaxing areas. Our weather was poor, so we couldn't take advantage of the great looking garden area. The room was small but adequate with a nicely refurbished ensuite. Pretty much as we expected for a 3 star small hotel /inn really.

Comfortable, cosy room and great food. Hotel is on quite a busy road so there's some noise with the window open (no air conditioning and it was quite warm).

We had read some reviews that were older, and we’re not sure what to expect. This ended up being a jewel of a place to stay. The beds were comfortable, it was clean, they even had a fan, and the bathroom had everything we needed. The dining area was quaint and the food was fabulous. This was a great stay.

Simply Brilliant.

Superb !! We we welcomed in a friendly and professional manner on arrival. Room was lovely and cosy. Well stocked with amenities such as hair dryer, iron, ironing board and slippers to mention a few. Lovely and relaxing beer garden. We were so well look after during dinner. The waitress’ were so tentative and so good at their job. Overall we had a great stay and will definitely be back. First class.
