“We had a memorable stay of two nights at the Quinta de S. Bernardo in Douro Valley. This inn is located in a fully functional farmhouse and vineyard, perched high on the slopes of Douro Valley mountains offering picture perfect views. We stayed in a room with river views and a plunge pool- it was beyond gorgeous. The facilities are immaculately maintained. The restaurant served great meals all through our stay including good options for a vegetarian in our party. The winery produces excellent……

“This was a very unexpected and wonderful experience. The location is in a very small town. Make sure you use google maps or you might go to the wrong location. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. The husband is a chef and will cook you an amazing dinner and they have wonderful wines from their vineyard. The vineyard is operated by their twin daughters and it is a great story. If you are in the area this is definitely the place you want to stay. ”
